My wife and I stayed three nights over the Easter weekend while we visited the surrounding area. Our room was beautifully appointed with a blue theme and little touches like free water bottles. We had a private entrance from the deck which was useful when we came in later in the evening. Each day we had a different breakfast, each homemade and one more delicious than the other. One morning we had French toast stuffed with pineapple, cream cheese and marscapone, yum. The lady of the inn was very friendly and helpful and we had some good chats the two mornings we ate at the early serving as the other guests ate later. An excellent place for a long weekend getaway.

It was a cold spring night and we really needed to get away!!! Debbie remembered us from the last time we were there, over a year ago! Debbie even remembered that I had a specific diet.

We asked for and received our favorite rm, # 8. Jim was there to greet us , and it was very nice to see him again.
The FOUR course breakfast was once again DELICIOUS! Fresh Fruit,Scones, Smoothies, and French toast, with Bacon!! Jim was the perfect breakfast host, and kindly explained all of our courses. As always, Seven South St was one of our favorite getaways!

This inn has all the personal touches of home, but all the extras of that comfortable getaway we needed that night. Thank you Debbie, Nick and Jim!!

A beautiful inn with welcoming hosts. The decor is charming with beautiful attention to detail and everything was immaculate. The breakfasts were fabulous with multiple courses, all of which were delicious. Nick, Deb, and Jim were incredibly helpful with great advice on restaurants and things to do. Nick even went out to cover my husband's bike when it started to rain. A great place to celebrate our anniversary!

This little inn is charming. All the rooms are color coordinated in a single color per room (I am not sure my husband appreciated that as much as I did :) but breakfast was incredible (the hostess is an excellent cook), consisting of several courses- fresh fruit, a sweet (as in muffin or roll), a smoothie and finally, if you haven't already fallen off your chair- the main course (something with eggs and bacon and the like). Good thing the hostess has great suggestions for walking by sea around the village. Very well done in all.

Room Tip: The first floor room is right next to the room with breakfast table so I am not so sure you could re...

After a long New England winter, my husband and I decided to celebrate my birthday by sneaking away for the weekend to explore Essex, Gloucester, Newburyport, and beautiful Rockport. We were so fortunate to stay at 7 South Street Inn, choosing Room #6, only one of the pretty, beautifully decorated, comfy rooms within this most charming inn. Our room was impeccably clean, as was the entire inn. Our hosts, Deb and Nick, could not have been more welcoming, offering helpful info for our stay in the area. Deb's breakfast was an amazing treat, surely a highlight. The dining room was gorgeous, all aglow in candle light, with a beautifully set table of locally made pottery. The breakfast served was perfectly delicious, while we so enjoyed conversing with several fellow guests. And Jim, the manager, is yet another treasure at 7 South Street Inn. We look forward to another future escape to this haven of an inn in Rockport. Happy Birthday to me!

Room Tip: Some rooms are sunnier in the morning. Should you want to sleep in a bit, you may want to share thi...

My husband and I were attending a concert at the Arts Center in town and decided rather than drive back home late at night, we would stay overnight. What a great find the Seven South Street Inn turned out to be. Deb was a delight - friendly, helpful and makes one remarkable gourmet breakfast. So glad we decided to stay the night in town and would definitely return to the inn.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 8 - it's own private entrance and parking space outside our door.

My wife and I stayed at 7 South St Inn for 3 nights while attending a nearby wedding. We chose a small room, #9, because we expected to spend most of our time at wedding-related activities in an adjacent town. Our hosts, Debbie and Nick, and manager Jim, did their utmost to insure that our entire stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfasts were absolutely superb and amenities perfect. But much more important was their generosity when local weather took a turn for the worse. With a blizzard predicted for the day after Valentines, our hosts offered all the guests--the Inn was full that evening--a full dinner in-house. It was a simple and delicious meal, at no cost, totally unexpected and under the circumstances, essential. Why? Driving was out of the question and local restaurants were beyond walking for us. This gracious present was a great way to have a relaxed meal and have some fascinating conversations with our fellow guests. In the morning, Nick kindly cleaned snow off guests' cars, Debbie ran another couple to the local train station, and extended the check out time a notch--knowing everyone was just a bit off schedule because of the storm and changed plans. We really enjoyed meeting and spending time with our hosts, and talking with other guests, a more relaxed way of traveling than a highway motel can ever provide...at any cost! We found the Inn very comfortable, well appointed and spotless, and our hosts wholly responsive to any need or question. We recommend the Inn without reservation!
