KW and I had spent a lovely day with friends at their summer house at Lands End. Before enduring the traffic on 128 south we thought we'd have a cocktail and enjoy more of the seaside views. We chose Brackett's for the name, thinking we would not be disappointed. And we were not. Rockport has only recently become a 'wet' town, having been dry up until 3 years ago (I believe). We had visions of sitting at a bar overlooking the ocean. There are only service bars in Rockport. We sat at a table in front of a huge window over looking the sailboats and coast. It was stunning to say the least. We had a drink each and a small plate of calamari that was okay. I think hiding the lemon under the calamari and putting sauces in plastic containers could be improved upon. The feel of the place lends to more sophistication than that. Great views, and attentive waitress.
