After Kathy's art class we were hankering for a drink by the water and perhaps an app or two. To our surprise we could not find a restaurant with outdoor seating. We walked down bearskin neck and saw two 'in the rough' places with no water view, then found this place.
It looked good and the hostess was super friendly. We signed up for a 15 minute wait that was only 20 minutes, not bad. Got seated at a nice table near the bar upstairs, overlooking the harbor. Great views of paddlers, sailboats, fishing boats, and recreational boaters moving in and about the dock area. Nice view of the jetty and people at the end of the neck.
Kathy ordered fish and chips and I got the lump crab salad. Honestly, Kathy's meal was tasteless. No thick crunchy piece of haddock it was a skinny piece of probably cod. The batter was seen but not tasted. The fries were soft and bland.
I had to ask for blue cheese dressing because the one that came with the salad was thousand island like. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Kathy's raspberry lime Rickies were good. My harpoon IPA could have been colder.
We'd go back for apps and a drink, not a meal.
