We just spent a few days at the Inn At Cove Hill in Rockport. We have been visitors to Rochester many times in the past, but this was our first time at the Inn. We were very pleased. Betsey, our Innkeeper made us feel very comfortable. The Inn is located on Mt. Pleasant Street, which is the main avenue of Rockport. From the Inn you are about 2 blocks from Bear Skin Neck, which contains all the shops and galleries and restaurants in the area. Our room was clean and full of charm. The bathroom had a lovely old claw bathtub; the floors were all original wood; the bed was comfortable and the room had Air-conditoning as well as cable TV. For breakfast you can either dine outside (weather permitting) or in the charming dining room. Betsey prepares gigantic homemade muffins (a different one every day) as well as juice, cereal, toast, bagels, fresh fruit and the best coffee in town. Our room had a charming porch overlooking the main street and there are two rocking chairs for reading or just watching the interesting people pass by. If you want a room with a view to the ocean there are those also, but if you take the smaller room you still can have access to the porches overlooking the ocean. I hardly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone who wants or needs to unwind and relax in an atmosphere of calm and tranquility. It's a four star place!
