We stayed at Revere for a few days for a Labor Day getaway to Boston. Overall we had a great stay. Hotel was a clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities - refrigerator, hairdryer, flat tv, free wi-fi, pool, gym (3-4 equipment), computers with printer, etc. The bed and linen is pretty comfortable. Breakfast area was updated, roomy and served the standard items - waffles, bagels, muffins, hard boiled eggs, fruits, yogurts, oatmeal, coffee/tea, etc.

The hotel is about 15-20 min driving to downtown, no traffic and convenient. Or you can drive 10 min to the closest T stop (Wonderland) then ride is about 15 min to downtown; parking at the T station is only $5 for 14 hrs. They offer free shuttle services to airport and T station, however it is hard to catch the "ride" back to the hotel in the evening - so don't rely on that. The hotel is right off the highway US 1 N - but to get to US 1 S, you have to go like a mi around - an bit out of the way. Also, there isn't any food/restaurant area - you have to drive a few minutes away to pick up food. Staff was courtesy, though not knowledgeable in tourist-related questions.

Our toilet has a running sound the whole time we were there. It didn't really bother us, but it may for others. Signs in need of updates, i.e., peeling paint/wallpaper. Again, it didn't really bother us.

The hotel itself was good, just like any other Fairfield Inn. Most of the staff were helpful but I think they themselves are confused about shuttle service. They do have shuttle service every hour but you have to SIGN UP ahead of time. What they didn't explain was that you had to SIGN UP ahead of time for a pick up too otherwise you might need to wait at the subway station up to an hour and there's nothing around that area, not even a bench to sit on while waiting. Maybe call at least an hour ahead of leaving Boston to check on shuttle pick up schedule. Breakfast was the same again as other Fairfield Inns which is good, and it does start at 6:30 am on weekdays and 7:00am on weekends. The only problem was the breakfast staff are either too busy or too lazy or slow to catch up with cleaning up and replenishing things during busy times. The worst thing about this hotel is the location. It is not easy to get to. It's on one side of a divided highway in the middle of two clover leaf exits. The traffic can get heavy at times too and there's really nothing else you can walk to. Otherwise, rooms and other facilities were clean and comfortable.

Thank you for taking time to share your observations after the recent stay at our hotel. Your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated.

I was happy to read that you thought the hotel itself was "good" and measured up to our Fairfield Inn and Suites Brand by Marriott. Our location is sometimes a challenge due to the fact that we are located on Route 1 north. If you are heading south on Route 1, one has to reverse direction on the following exit and loop around. I know this can be a bit confusing and apologize for the inconvenience. Breakfast can often be busy, especially at peak hours and we make every attempt to keep the items stocked well and give great service. You will often see me in the breakfast area assisting our attendant during those busy hours.

You kind words regarding our rooms and facilities are appreciated and I hope to welcome you back again soon when you are in our area. Thank you for your business!

It took us a good 10 minutes (with GPS) to locate this hotel from our friend's home which was just 2.5 miles away! But the hotel itself is quite good and the staff had even prepared the crib for our baby (most of the hotels they just bring it to the room and leave it packed).

We were visiting friends in Melrose and there just wasn't another convenient place to stay..So we stayed here again. Things were better. We had hot water and the people at the front desk were nicer. The hotel is over priced as are most of the hotels in Boston. I still hate the location, but being the only hotel in the area we put up with it. We did have to turn around a couple of times because going the wrong dirrection. Just be aware of which direion you are going.

Thank you for taking time to share your most recent experience at our hotel in Revere. We very much appreciate the kind words and understand that the exact location, on Route 1 North, can be a bit confusing to get to. One has to reverse direction if you are heading south and then return to the hotel on the north side of Route 1. I was pleased to read that your overall impressions were better than last visit and we hope you will continue to visit us when your travels take you to the area. I will be sure to share your comments at our next hotel Leadership Meeting.

Your business is greatly appreciated and thank you again!

On our way to Logan from Maine, we had a hard time getting to the hotel. It turns out that you have to be going north on 1 to get to the hotel. On departing, we did get instructions on how to get turned toward Logan, but managed to get lost finding the rental car agency. A hard area to navigate (and we used to live in Boston). Nothing wrong with the hotel, but the breakfast did not start until 7, when we had to be at the airport. The hotel seemed tired, but the staff was pleasant. Cost was high for the room (and it wasn't that convenient to the airport).

Room Tip: rooms facing the highway and near the entrance were quiet

Stayed with family on Friday & Saturday nights. Fairly busy hotel. Immediately noticed NO QUEEN beds. You can get a King/sofa-bed couch combo or two double beds. They did provide a roll-away bed for us when we asked. Room smelled a little moldy.
Complimentary breakfast was chaotic. Not enough staff to wipe down tables, empty trash cans or refill juice/coffee regularly, but otherwise was fine.
Shuttle (as mentioned by others) could be better. Shuttle routes require many local roads, so timeliness is a major variable. It was free, but we did have to wait 45 minutes for shuttle to bring us back to hotel after a day in Boston.
Basically it was the staff that saved this review. They were all very helpful and courteous.

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback after staying with us. Our Fairfield Inn and Suites. located just north of the airport, does offer shuttle service that is subject to weather and traffic conditions. We are in the process of formulating a new schedule that will help our guests with their transportation needs.

I must apologize for the confusion you experienced in our restaurant area. Hours are 7:00am to 10:00am on weekends and 6:30am to 9:30am weekdays. We restock the area as much as possible and hope you found all of the items needed for breakfast.

Our staff stands out in many reviews and I thank you for your kind words. We pride ourselves on giving the best possible service and many guests return when they are in the North of Boston area.

Your business and greatly appreciated and thank you for staying at our hotel.

I generally liked the hotel. The breakfast was good. The room was big and clean. The heater/cooler was completely controllable. The shuttle to the subway station was not frequent but efficient. The only problem was that they pick up the passengers from the Wonderland station (the closest station to the hotel) to bring them back to the hotel and go all the way back to the Airport station (closer to downtown) to pick up new guests just arrived in the airport. This was a pain especially during the rush hour because of traffic jam (which is the time you are extremely tired!).
Don't forget; there is no restaurant in the hotel!
