The owner recognized my Swiss Army knife attached to my key chain and we immediately hit it off talking about our love of Luzern. It breaks my heart, but I have to be honest and say the rolls were too small and over baked. More importantly a truly good croissant is made with flakey crust. This is involved and time consuming. If you don't get it right the rolls turn out like plain bread. This was the case for the three varieties I tried. The fillings were very tasty mind you, but the "croissants" were just not made as light and flakey as a professional native Swiss baker ought to know and should correct immediately.
Agsin, the family was a delight to talk to and I wish them well.
