“Can't Wait to Visit Again”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

Stayed on the Bay Side of the Hotel. The view is gorgeous! The rooms were clean and met or exceeded our expectations. The Pool area is large with plenty of lounges. The Cabana had 5 or 6 seats and you could order drinks and food. The restaurant served dinner in the evening, the meals were great and reasonably priced. The only complaints we had were with housekeeping because we never got clean towels and with the noisy air conditioner in the room.
While there, we got to know Keith and Armand who treat guests like family. We look forward to seeing them on our next visit.

Room Tip: Get a Room on the Bay Side of the Hotel. The view is amazing!

Stayed at hotel because cheap rate well should have known better , dirty rooms, poor service , pool bar was closed due to cloudy day front desk didnt know. No towels during stay. Check in was not till 5pm. Room wasn't ready and when it was it still had no towels no apologies from anyone. Service in bar was horrible girl should not be bartender . Very poorly managed. The bar manager was horrible didn't even apologize for bad service. And we heard him say he was one of the owners I hope not. Grounds were dirty never say any maintenanc people do anything but smoke and drink coffee. Maybe try picking up the cigarette buts from day before. Do yourself favor don't stay there

Positive or otherwise, we’re always eager to hear from our guests about their experiences. We are very sorry that your experience was not everything it should have been. When we close our pool area due to inclement weather, it’s to ensure the safety of our guests and we apologize for any inconveniences. Had we been made aware of the issues you encountered during your stay, we would have been happy to better accommodate you or do what we could to make things right. Please take some time to reconsider; it would be our pleasure to provide you the stay that you deserve.

This was our first visit to this hotel. Location was excellent. Clean room . At first was surpised that the floor was concrete, but it was waaay cleaner than any of those gross carpets in some places. Wish the AC unit had a "constant" button so you didn't wake up every time it kicked on and off! Very nice set up for the AM breakfast.

As a new guest, we’re glad that you had such a great first experience at the Harbor Hotel Provincetown! Our concrete floors are both eco and allergy friendly and we’re happy to learn that they were a highlight of your trip! We do regret any noise disturbances you encountered in the evening. It would be wonderful to see you again and we thank you for your review!

I was pleased that the room was well appointed and clean. Do not rent a "pool side" or "courtyard" view. Our view was of the "doggy park". The bay view is much nicer. The pool area was horrible. The lounge chairs were filthy. No towels available during our two day stay. The poolside cafe was closed due to a cloudy sky...no notice to guests. The lobby was nicely decorated and clean and the continental breakfast was sufficient. The service at the restaurant for dinner was absolutely horrible. The food was just OK. I've worked in hotel management for many years. This place falls short of expectations and standards.

Thank you for letting us know about your stay with us. While we’re glad that our lobby and complimentary breakfast met your expectations, we’re disheartened to discover that other aspects of your stay did not. As we are located near the water, storms fronts can roll in very quickly and as safety is a top concern for us, we must act promptly to protect our guests. We apologize that the service you received was unacceptable and we regret any frustrations you experienced on your stay. It is our hope that you’ll give us another chance to provide you a better trip.

Sincerely,

Booked into this hotel as wanted a reasonable rate.
Airconditioning poor - you got cold (freezing) or off, nothing in between and noisy
Fridge in room makes a racket - switch it off if you want to sleep
Bed ???? Not so great linen just ok - bed noisy (without any action ha ha)
Towels did not smell nice and were thin and had holes in them and the pool towel created a hysterical laugh from guests ( they were the size of those old towel nappies you used to get in the 80's) they really were so funny
Bathroom floor was sticky and hotel staff did not really seem to care (receptionist when told about above) not sure WHY this has a good rating on trip advisor. My experience was not the same
I will never return or recommend

Room Tip: Don't stay!!

I called the night before we wanted to leave and there was a room available for a long weekend. The Hotel is updated the room was good size we overlooked the pool but were able to just walk out front and be at the beach. The continental breakfast was different every day. the bar and food at the pool was also very good and the firepit out front was beautiful and always lit up at dusk.

We just got back from a week at the Harbor Hotel Provincetown. It was the perfect vacation site for the family. Our 12 year old son had fun swimming in the pool (even though the weather wasn't great), playing billiards and hanging at the fire pit at night. The rooms were clean and the location was perfect for Kadima across the street on the bay beach during low tide, shell and crab hunting and walking into town.
The staff was wonderful to us and helped recommend some good restaurants.
Movie night was really fun and the restaurant is very good!
They could buy a few more bikes so we could have all gone for a ride but other than that a fun time was had by all.
Say "HI" to Armand and Keith for us!
