Arrived here very late at night after running very fast from a disappointing place up the street. Desk personnel very friendly & accommodating. Love the stylish renovations and the great location. So happy to see they are continuing the movie tradition. Will be returning next week.

We’re so glad that your experience at the Harbor Hotel Provincetown was enjoyable. Thank you for the great review and for mentioning how much you loved our renovations. We have worked very hard to make the hotel a warm and inviting place to stay. The movie night was something we put a lot of thought into. It was a popular event with the original Cape Inn and we are thrilled to be able to continue the tradition. Welcoming you back in the future would be our pleasure!

The hotel accepts pets and charges $25 per night for a dog. BEWARE! the dog cannot enter the lobby or any other public space in the hotel. While Provincetown is the pet friendliest city in the USA, not so here. There are absolutely no amenities offered. Dogs cannot be left alone in the hotel room or be any public space on this property. This is the loss Harbor Hotel's restaurant. Fortunately, the rest of Provincetown offers a lot more hospitality if you are traveling with a dog. Many restaurants and waterfront lounges, as well as the beaches, are very welcoming.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights during the Portugese Festival and loved it. The "motel" style hotel has been recently, and stylishly, renovated with comfortable beds, comforters, flat-screen tv, etc. Also appreciated the separate privacy screen and room darkening shade in the large picture window looking out at the bay. In addition, the lounge area hosted a bountiful continental breakfast (coffee, fruit, yogurt, breads & croissants!), an awesome outdoor patio and firepit - a great place to relax and look at the ocean. The Cabana bar in the pool area served delicious and affordable burgers and drinks (love it that they have Peroni beer!). Next time will try the food in the restaurant as well. Only down side was a group of noisy neighbors at 2:30 am who, when asked to be quiet, did settle down.

Room Tip: ask for the Bayview rooms on the second floor

Obrigado!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are so glad to see that your stay at the Harbor Hotel Provincetown was great.. We hope you enjoyed the Portuguese Festival. We regret that you had noisy neighbors, but are relieved that they were respectful enough to quiet down. The next time you come to stay with us, please make sure you get a chance to eat at the Whaler Lounge. You will not regret it!

I was lucky enough to get an invite to the grand reopening of this place through a friend. I'm glad I did. They've really done an excellent job with it.

For those not familiar, this joint used to be the Cape Inn, an eyesore motor inn on an otherwise moderate to high-end town. I remember driving by it as a kid and thinking "oh, that's where they shoot slasher movies."

But it's murder no more at Harbor Hotel. They've given everything a nice, fresh coat of very welcoming colored paint, redone the decor to the tune of the 1950s with a sprinkle of uber-modern, installed one of the best fire pits in the history of fire pitdom, and armed the bar with open space and knowledgeable bartenders.

The art and items on the walls all fit into the Provincetown ethos without being campy. Giant, manually adjusted clocks marking high and low tide greet you along with helpful, smiling staff in the lobby. The pool is clean and very attractive, and is accompanied by another bar.

The rooms are nicely set up with brand new furniture and doors with different colors (looks excellent from outside)! The beds were comfortable and nothing like what I'm used to in a hotel. Local wine and candy are poised to assist you in from the TV stand if necessity demands it.

The only criticism I have for this hotel (and it's very minor) is in regard to the bathrooms. They are light-brownish/grey tiled and have old tubs that still bare the wear of the hotel's shabby predecessor. Additionally, the ventilation in our bathroom was poor to non-existent.

All things considered, this hotel is aces. It is totally reasonably priced for the outer Cape, and is walking distance to most attractions in Provincetown. They also have cheap bike rentals in-house.

I would absolutely stay here again.

We were lucky enough to have such wonderful people attending the grand re-opening of the Harbor Hotel Provincetown. Thank you for attending and the kind words regarding our staff. The fire pit area seems to be a great hit with our guests, we’re so glad you enjoyed it also! We’ll have the ventilation checked by our maintenance team and appreciate that you let us know. We welcome the opportunity for you to visit us again soon!

Warm and personable service -- folks really seemed to care that we were happy in this "re-launched" hotel.

Could easily imagine hosting a reunion or a wedding at the Harbor Hotel... lots of party space, plenty of free parking, across from a nice walk on the beach. Surprisingly quiet rooms (we stayed bayside) and the outdoor firepit and seating area was a nice plus. Weather was too cold to swim but the pool looked good. Easy $2 bus ride to town (we took the ferry, so had no car); note that a cab ride to the ferry is $8/pp, which seemed a bit steep. Lobby for a hotel shuttle van???!!! That would cinch the deal.

Overall: clean, very comfortable, quite reasonable and not too close to the hullabaloo of downtown (you can get a good night's sleep-- the beds are very comfy).

The feedback offers us that guest perspective to making it all work great! Thanks for pointing out the shuttle available, in season (mid-June to September), for $2/person, that picks you up right in front of our hotel every half an hour, from 7 AM to Midnight. We’ll make sure to pass along your suggestion about a ferry shuttle to our management team. We hope to welcome you back again soon.

This was my cousins and mine first trip to the cape and wished we had booked our entire stay here instead of going to the mid cape area for the end of our trip...The weather wasn't idea, with rain for the 2 days we were in Ptown, but we still had a blast. Our first night we enjoyed a few cocktails in the lounge and we had so much fun...Ken the bartender and Jesse the chef were fantastic!!!!!!! The rooms were great. The renovation is coming along great and it is obvious that the staff is very conscious to the guests input of the upgrades...Loved the fire pit and the view was awesome!!! Will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!!!

This newly refurbished hotel is a treasure. Very cool, clean, classy and classic. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants, while still peaceful. Attention to detail is notable. Pool is large - food & music great. Brava!
