“P-Town Wedding!”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

My partner and I had our wedding ceremony at the sister property "The Brass Key", and the reception at the Crowne Pointe. The charming properties were the perfect back drop for our family and friends to join us for a special day. The event planner "Michelle" was so helpful from start to finish, and created a wonderful celebration. We thank her and the staff for an amazing day for us!!!

Its difficult to sum up this hotel in a few words as there are so many good things about the accommodation and the staff. Tom on reception was particularly helpful carrying our heavy bag to our room and spending time explaining the hotel's facilities and the local attractions.

Our suite, which was effectively a one bed apartment, was very nicely furnished in a style commensurate with the colonial style of the buildings. The facilities are clean and comfortable and more than suited to a long stay.

During the afternoon there are complementary tea, coffee and pastries, and from 5 to 6 complimentary wine, beer, and cheese. The only down side to the hotel is the parking, we stayed off season when the hotel was less busy. I suspect during busy times it can become a bit chaotic being split into several locations. That said, we would certainly stay there again.

We were married in late September at the Crowne Pointe's sister property, the Brass Key. Following the ceremony, we had a dinner at the Pointe restaurant. The food was perfect--our guests had a choice of entrees, all of which received raves from our guests. The food was complimented with choices from an outstanding wine list, and the service was spectacular.

A number of our guests stayed at the Crowne Pointe and, to a person, they were highly complimentary of the rooms and the staff at the hotel.

We also enjoyed the spa--it could have been uncomfortable as neither of us had been to a spa before, but it was a remarkable experience, made very comfortable by the relaxing nature of the environment and a staff that explained what they were doing and made us feel at ease.

Great location and good price, paid $199 a night for a two floor suite with balcony. (We got a midweek deal). Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and filling. Did not have dinner there but enjoyed a cocktail at the bar and pursued the complimentary dvd folder which prompted us to bring two movies back to our room. We did partake in the cocktail hour which offered a nice selection of wine, beer, cheese and crackers, vegis and fruit. There was plenty for all and very relaxed. I did not find the bed to be the most comfortable and I found hairs in the downstairs bathroom and kitchen. Not a great first impression as these were the first rooms we saw but the rest of the suite was fine...except for the SMALL upstairs shower. We were lucky enough to have 2 bathrooms though, so I was comfortably able to shower downstairs. We both utilized the outside hot tub and the spa. I have had better massages, but staff was very inviting and encouraged us to stay and enjoy the spa facility. They offered us a complimentary glass of wine, the sauna and a soak in the hot tub, which we took advantage of. I would recommend the property to friends, and would come back for a second stay.

Arrived as the off season began and everyone was shutting down. Was told by a local to come here. Looked it up on Trip Advisor and saw a $166 per nite special.
We hadn't planned on staying here as we were actually staying in Newport and opted to drive to P-town to try to catch a whale watch cruise. The young man who checked us in was not overtly friendly, acting as if we were a bit of a bother. When I asked the price for the night, I was quoted $200+. When I showed him the Trip Advisor coupon, he stated that he had no idea what that was. Nor did he call anyone to find out. He brought the pride down a bit, but said that he didn't have anymore of the rooms that were in the special. Quick thinking, huh? To go from not knowing anything about the coupon to knowing that "those rooms" were taken.
We asked about a massage from the Spa. We called while waiting to check in and were told that there was no availability. However, we were never told about the other amenities in the spa that we could use.
We were advised about breakfast and Wine and Cheese at 5PM, but nothing else.
The room was cute. The Jacuzzi tub was a welcome site after walking 12,000 steps that day. The room was comfy.
The grounds were landscaped nicely and very relaxing. We were close to the happenings -within walking distance.
Overall, the stay was good. Breakfast was good. No issue getting egg whites.
Checking out, the experience with staff was different . Very friendly. I suspect that the owner was the person checking us out. He needs to give lessons to the young man....
Later when I looked online, the rooms available at this place are awesome. I hope with our next stay, the service is better.

Right from the beginning our experience was top notch. The front desk manager, John, was super friendly and showed us up to our beautiful rooms. We were upgraded to a room with a fire place which was lovely. There was great spa amenities available even if you didn't book a treatment, and though we didn't use them this time, we will next time! The property was beautiful and tranquil, especially being out of season. The wine and cheese hour was delicious and good quality. We did use the hot tub at night and that was fantastic. The breakfast in the morning was amazing for any breakfast, let alone a free, included breakfast. The eating area was sunny and bright and beautiful. I really just loved this place from start to finish. It is right off Commercial St so we didn't have an ocean view, which my husband really wanted, but everything else made up for it. Excellent, excellent stay and experience. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We started with a wonderful complimentary dip that we tried to re-create the following evening! The food selection was tremendous and it was cooked perfectly for all three of us. We will be back next time we are in P-Town. Don't pass up the opportunity to try this wonderful place.
