A friend and I recently stayed at Carpe Diem for a few nights before the busy season. We had a DELIGHTFUL stay!!! Off-season, there are great deals to take advantage of and you can book last minute right online.

Eddie, the property manager, was the best host! He made check-in easy, gave us a tour of the facilities, run-down on the spa, showed us to our room, gave suggestions on dinner and bars (plenty of options depending on what we were looking for) and made sure to invite us to breakfast and win & cheese hour, which happens daily before Tea Dance at the Boat Slip. It's a family affair there as his mother (also known as Mother Theresa) works alongside of him.

The rooms are charming and beautifully decorated. Have all the amenities one needs. And the Spa is incredible. We did everything we could: Hamam, sauna, hot tub and both got incredible massages. I recommend it all! Super clean facilities, showers and towels everywhere, bathrobe and slippers provided although clothing optional. Folks even come by to offer water and check in. They thought of everything.

Breakfast is a feast. There is plenty at the buffet and you can help yourself and a chef in the kitchen preparing hot breakfasts. Who needs brunch? (That question is sacrilegious coming from a gay man but it was THAT good) The owner of the spa was at breakfast every morning, checking in with the guests, engaging in conversation and also suggesting fun things to do to enjoy PTown. It was easy to chat with other guests and really felt like a community.

I really could go on and on about how much we enjoyed our stay. At the end of the trip, we decided we would be coming back for at least an annual visit and will absolutely be staying at Carpe Diem. You will LOVE it!

My husband and I stayed for two nights at Carpe Diem and had a wonderful stay. Our hosts were unfailingly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and well appointed, with lovely bath products and plush towels. Our room was off the courtyard which was quiet and attractive even in a gray day. The inn provides a delicious and generous breakfast, with staple items and great special dishes. In the evening, there is a reception with wine, cheese and other appetizers, a pleasant way to take a break at the end of the day and to get to know the other guests. The spa provides extensive services; we only used the sauna, steam room and whirlpool - all excellent. The inn is on a side street close to Commercial Street, but without the same level of traffic and activity - nice and quiet. We had a really relaxing and enjoyable stay and will definitely return.

This beautiful and historic bed and breakfast inn exceeded my expectations! The staff is personable, accessible and make you feel like family. Lots of attention to detail, and the location is two blocks from the water! My husband is now a B&B convert!

Room tip: The rooms are named after writers.

From the minute you walk in to this beautiful B & B you know you have made the right choice. Your olfactory senses are greeted with a soothing aroma and immediately your shoulders drop. The staff graciously welcomes you and offers you the free sherry or port that all guests are welcome to enjoy at any time. You are given a personal tour of the well manicured courtyard, homes and exquisite rooms. When you enter your room there is soothing spa like music playing. Our room faced the ocean and scenery was breath taking.
Every morning you are welcomed to breakfast with a warm greeting and request for special breakfast choice. There is always hot tea, coffee and cappuccino to enjoy whenever you want that in the kitchen along with some sort of cookie or pastry that was baked fresh daily.
At 5p daily there is a wine and cheese hour like you have never seen . There was an array of cheeses, finger foods, nuts, dried fruits and crackers.
Every house guest we spoke to were super friendly and we even found ourselves sitting around the tables talking to them well after the happy hour had completed. We were so full from the wine and cheese that we didn't even have room for dinner one night.
I can't say enough about Carpe Diem. Steve and Paul are phenomenal owners and host. I feel blessed to have met them both. Would stay here again weekly if I could.

Room tip: Dorothy Parker room faced water. Beautiful scenery although not the biggest room they have but certainly comfortable for us.
