My Husband and I just spent a weekend at Carpe Diem , our first visit--but not our last.
The Inn is beautiful inside and out--our room was very nicely appointed --the bed was lush and comfortable and all was very clean !

We have stayed at several lovely Inns in the past but none that could measure up to the warm and very friendly atmosphere created by the owners and staff at Carpe Diem.

The warm greeting when we first entered the building --the 5PM wine and cheese get togethers--the wonderful-wonderful-- morning breakfast, lovingly prepared and presented like a layout for a gourmet magazine--- to the warm goodbyes when we were leaving -- all left us with a bad case of the "warm Fuzzies" and wishing we could stay longer.
We can only say---THANK YOU-THANK YOU-THANK YOU---
Jurgen, Hans, Rainer and Herb for making our stay
A Weekend to remember!!!
& To Sam the cat --just for being.
Til we meet again

We stayed at the Carpe Diem over this past weekend and it was delightful! The breakfast was delicious--fresh muffins and coffee cake every morning, a wide assortment of teas and coffees, and eggs any way you like them. Our room, the Robert Frost room, was private and cozy, but still bright and airy. The bed was comfy and the down pillows and comforter made me consider buying new bedding for home! We had wine and cheese at 5 pm both evenings with the other guests who were interesting and fun. Usually my husband is not a huge fan of having a common table at breakfast or other "get to know the other guests" kinds of things, but the atmosphere at the Carpe Diem was relaxed and comfortable and we really enjoyed ourselves. Herbie, who seemed to be taking care of the front desk services helped us find tasty restaurants both nights that fit our needs (I'm a vegetarian and my husband loves seafood) and made reservations for us. All of the suggestions we received from him for food and activities were right on the mark. Also, the location of the inn is perfect--it's right near the center of town so everything is very walkable. This was our first trip to Provincetown and when we go back we will definitely stay at the Carpe Diem again!

Staying at Carpe Diem was the most relaxing time I've had in a long time. Even though we were only there one night it was absolutely fantastic. Everyone there made you feel at home. You couldn't ask for better hospitality. The breakfast - I have no words -beautifully displayed - and the food was delicious. Lunch would definitely be out of the question. We will definitely make a trip back in the near future. Staying in Winter with the blizzard was quite a treat. Staying in the summer must be more so. Thanks again - Hug for the cat, Sam - Jerry and Kathy

This is the first guesthouse I have stayed at in the States, so I cannot give a comparative review, but our stay at the house was wonderful. The managers and staff are very nice and interesting people. Aparently most room names (we stayed in Dorothy Parker) are taken from The Dead Poet Societies. The room was nice and clean and t had all the amenities we needed. We had wine and cheese when we moved in at about 6pm and a great breakfast at 11pm (it is usually served 8-11) but Reiner (owner), Hans and Herbie (managers) were very nice and did not clear the table until we were finished at 11:30. We spend at least two hours chatting with them and with guests of the hotel - many couples in their 30's to 50's, some gay some straight. We took a hot tub at midnight (really nice)... strolled around the house (beatiful inside and out in the yard), had some port (sherry and port are available in the living room at all times).
If you are in Provincetown and need a nice and cozy place to stay, you should start your search at Carpe Diem. You probably wouldn't move beyond it...

This was our first time in a Bed & Breakfast. Carpe Diem was truly elegant but cozy. We were just passing through the Cape for a night, but after sleeping on the soft and warm bed at the Carpe Diem, we wished our stay could have been extended. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The "gourmet" breakfast was a treat! I don't know if other B & B are up to par, but we will definitly stay here on our next trip to the Cape.

Carpe Diem is the best place I've stayed in P-Town. The hospitality is truly outstanding, the food is excellent, the wine and cheese hour (or two) was a highlight of each day (met some great fellow guests at this event). The house is beautiful and well kept; the atmosphere is just the very best! Many thanks to the 'Carpe Diem team' -- you are the best!
