“A perfect weekend at the Brass Key”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2013

What a wonderful place to stay in Ptown. I spent Halloween weekend at the Brass Key and was thrilled with the helpful staff as well as our room. The location is perfect and an easy walk to the fun spots in town. And they have one of the best spas I've been in -- it would easily fit 15 people.
I will be back for sure!

Room Tip: I stayed in the upper level of the carriage house.

My partner and I decided to stay here for an extra special trip during Halloween 2013! It was worth it! The price maybe higher than other places but the rooms are gorgeous, the grounds are magnificent and the staff is wonderful. You have to try it at least once.

We spent 4 nights at Brass Key. First 2 nights, the room wasn't too great. Tiny, tiny, tiny! Barely room to move. It was a room with 2 twin beds. I'd avoid that room; it seems more appropriate for kids that grown-ups traveling together. But we were switched to another, larger room the second 2 nights because the air conditioner didn't work in the small room and the windows opened directly on to the fence gate leading from the street to the garden. Noisy. But staff at Brass Key were good about switching us. I would have expected, though, that they would reduce the cost of the room the first 2 nights since they were unable to repair the air conditioner immediately so we had to endure the discomfort for a second night. Grounds are beautiful. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Wine & cheese & etc. were a nice touch in the late afternoons. Breakfasts were fine. Fire pit was nice when the weather turned cool. Parking is available but is scattered and quirky.

Room Tip: Avoid Room 101, Captains House. Very cramped room & its bathroom is extremely tiny. Room 152, Q...

We stayed a week at the end September and had our wedding at the Brass Key's wedding pavilion. The stay and the wedding could not have been better. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. The service is exceptional--from the meticulous and friendly housekeeping staff to the management staff--everyone seemed dedicated to make sure we had an exceptional experience.

Michelle Orsmond coordinates everything perfectly--the flowers were amazing, the chairs were set up perfectly, the wedding cake was delicious. She knows what vendors will deliver the best product and works with them to ensure that they do. (I would not want to be the vendor who fails to meet her expectations!) When our cellist failed to show up (entirely his fault--and arranged by us rather than Michelle), Michelle took it upon herself to not only tear the absent musician a new one, but to find a solution for us.

The facilities are perfect for a wedding--a beautiful pergola provides a great space for an outdoor wedding--there's even a backup in case of bad weather, though we did not have to test this out!

We had a diverse guest list from elderly parents to younger adults--everyone felt entirely comfortable here. Our guests who stayed at the Brass Key loved the hot tub and other facilities, and everyone loved the Shipwreck lounge.

What a wonderful experience .....great room, wonderful mattress. Breakfast feast included, but the place is expensive. The grounds, pool, hot tub all beautiful even in October.. Great location, easy walk to commercial street, lots of P-Town shopping and resteraunts.

Room Tip: Poolside rooms are the best

The final destination for our three week tour of New England and we decided to book three nights at the Brass Key Guesthouse. Our room 157 was lovely with windows on three sides. The staff that we saw were great too but it was really quiet - not what we expected at all. It was obviously getting to the end of the season so we really didn't see anyone around. Breakfast was great but we never got to sample the cheese and wine as we were out and about. We had dinner on our first night at The Pointe which was really good. By the time we left we were both fully rested which is exactly what we wanted from this break at the Brass Key

So glad you enjoyed your time at the Brass Key and were able to experience the wonderful food and service at the Pointe. Town does slow down mid October and seems like that worked out for you being able to relax and enjoy some quiet time together.

From arrival to departure, the welcoming staff at the Brass Key will make you feel right at home. The accommodations are first-rate. The location is excellent. I've been staying here for years and cannot imagine enjoying any other inn in town as much. The pool and outdoor spa add a nice touch, too.
