A gem! We had a great walk across the breakwater at low tide. Rain did not deter us on a 46 degree winter day. This is a perfect family activity at the road's end. In parts the granite is a bit challenging, so wear shoes with good traction. Probably not great for young kids. Our daughter is 10, and she had a blast.

You can either take the 1.5 mile hike across the breakwater, tide permitting, or take a boat taxi from the shore to drop you off and pick you up at a very reasonable cost. Beautiful beach and old time lighthouse. Best views of Provicetown from here and definitely worth a visit.

Great place to hike to across the salt flats....especially at low tide! Climb over the dunes and then a good hike along the beach. Pretty scenic, long strolls along the beach and good swimming, although coolish! Move like a quick splash and escape to the beach and the sun and warmth....

Beautiful beach and unique light house. Kayaked over from Provincetown and beached the boat. Enjoyed the tranquil setting and sweet breeze.
