“Perfection in Provincetown!”
Reviewed July 22, 2007

We just returned from a lovely trip to Provincetown. We picked the White Porch Inn based on its unstated elegance and inviting warmth. We will return frequently based on the hospitality, warmth, impeccable service and great energy of the owners and staff. Breakfast, courtesy of the lovely Martin, was just too delicious. We spent wonderful afternoons on the porch during wine hour socializing and meeting the other guests. These guys have definitely created a special place in Provincetown and you can see it and feel it in everything the inn has to offer. Book now, you will not be disappointed!

We’re not generally B&B-type people, but we loved the White Porch Inn. We recently spent three nights at this beautiful bed and breakfast in Provincetown and would have gladly stayed longer, if only our vacation could have been extended.

The Inn looks like it was designed from the pages of the Restoration Hardware catalog: it’s has clean lines and relaxing, comfortable furniture that you would have in your own home. It’s tasteful without being stuffy and charming without being fussy.

We appreciated the well thought-out touches in our room (Race Point Light) – from the huge flat-screen TV to the fireplace at eye level while lying in bed and modern Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom – and found the small-ish space so well-designed that we barely noticed we had less room that we’re used to in larger hotels. We did wish that our room had black-out curtains to block out the early morning sunshine that woke us up too early each day, but that’s a minor quibble for a room and a vacation experience that was simply wonderful.

The design of the White Porch Inn is one key to its success, but the real secret is the innkeepers themselves: the owners are friendly, welcoming and we immediately felt right at home. They offered tips on dining and shows, sights, local bike rentals and spas without being obtrusive and they were helpful without getting in the way of their guests having a good time.

When we talk about our vacations and the places we’ve stayed, we’re always amazed by friends who tell us “it’s just a place to sleep.” The White Porch Inn is the kind of place that makes you understand why that isn’t always true. We really enjoyed talking with other guests over breakfast and then coming back to the Inn at the end of day for drinks and more conversation outside on the porch.

We could write more, but our recommendation is that you go to Provincetown and experience the White Porch Inn for yourself. Just don’t go during our next visit – we want to be able to make reservations for our return!

We thought the White Porch Inn was a lovely, well maintained property, but found the staff too stuffy for our taste. We got the feeling they didn't care for us either.

Our stay at the White Porch Inn was perfect in every way. Stayed there with my husband for 3 nights in June. The innkeepers were most friendly and hospitable, catering to our every need. The inn is beautiful and in a perfect location in P-Town. Breakfasts were excellent, and we were even treated to a cocktail hour on Saturday, complete with drinks and snacks. All in all, a perfect stay, I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

This is a new B&B in Provincetown. It was in a great location, with an easy walk into town. The rooms are done in nautical themes, and are very comfortable. The innkeepers are Tom and Thomas,so it makes it easy to remember there names, They went out of there way to make sure my stay was
satisfactory. If your heading out to Ptown and want to really sit on a white porch with rockers, then check it out..Nice quiet location!

Outstanding! The owners of the White Porch Inn have brought 6 star hotel standards to P-Town. They clearly know what discerning travelers are looking for. Key details such as comfortable beds and sheets, environmentally friendly toiletries, private bath rooms for every room, easy to use romantic gas fireplaces in the room, sufficient storage, delicious breakfasts, flat screen TVs, great art work, and so much more. The staff is also the best we have ever experienced in a B&B!! The Inn is also centrally located, just minutes walk to most attractions. This place is a must for any visitor to P-Town.

  • Liked — Everything!
  • Disliked — I had to leave and return home! I wanted to stay much longer...
