“Disappointing trip”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

We had planned to take the 9:30 trip but that was cancelled at the last minute and combined with the 10:00. Unfortunately for the passengers, this ship was very crowded, much like the pictures you see with people 3-4 deep trying to see the whales. We did see two fin whales on our trip but because of the wide where our seats were we weren't able to move around and get good views of the first whale. We did get good views of the 2nd whale. We booked Dolphin based on the recommendation from our hotel. Had I done it again, I would have investigated other options for early morning trips that would probably have been less crowded. Ships were clean and comfortable and staff was pleasant.

“Fun, educational, amazing”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

My family of four loved this tour!! We saw one fin back whale that we followed for quite some time, lots and lots and lots of minke whales, many seals and a basking shark. The tour guide was very knowledgable and gave lots of information. We all took dramamine prior to the trip, but I'm not sure we would have needed it--the boat was big enough that it was a fairly smooth ride. The water and lighthouse views were beautiful. The kids had some snacks on the way back and the selection was expansive, one son had a chili dog! Great fun trip for all ages!!

“Fins and Minkes from a Distance”
Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I went whale watching with Dolphin Fleet 16 years ago and saw many humpbacks up close. It was amazing! So amazing that we couldn't wait to take our girls.

It was a long, beautiful evening cruise, but we only saw fin and minke whales from a distance. Nice, but very different from our 1997 experience. Perhaps it was just an off night, but we regret not researching recent whale sightings throughout the Cape first. Overall, a good experience, but not all we hoped it would be.

“A must do”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

For first 30 mins we thought we would go back without spotting any whale but then we saw so many The captain was a nice learned person. I cannot describe how fun it is to spot whales. Also, be sure to take medicines if you've motion sickness. Please don't puke in ocean, take bags from the crew. They have some food/drinks on board too so drink water.

“Saw some whales”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

We did not see whales and at the last minute before turning to return to the dock we say some whales and the captain stayed out an extra hour so we could enjoy the sightings.
