“Truly amazing”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

I've never been whale watching before. In the past, whenever I had seen the opportunity to go, it was way too expensive. Dolphin Fleet, however was much more affordable than I expected. At $42 per person (including the online discount) it was very affordable and a great value for such a long trip - and they guarantee you see a whale! How awesome!

The naturalist was a lot of fun, and very informative, and the captain was great at chasing down the whales. When one was spotted on the horizon, he would high-tail it out to where the whale was sighted, then we would sit and wait until it showed itself again. They do a great job of giving you a great view, but not disrupting the wildlife. While we were out, we saw about 5 different whales (humpback and minke) and a couple of seals. It was really cool how the naturalist could identify the individual humpbacks by name if he saw the markings on its fluke. For example, we got to meet "Wizard" a few times, and he was able to tell us a little about her history.

Make sure you bring a jacket, maybe a hat, but warm clothing is necessary. It was COLD out there!

“Great Whale Watch”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

If you are visiting the cape this summer, go and enjoy a chance with a great Captain and his crew out on the Ocean to see 5 different kinds of Whales. This was one of the best whale watches i have ever been on. The ride out to the spot where the Whales are is a bit long but it is worth it in the end. We were able to encounter 5 different types of Whales this past weekend!! What a great time. I advise anyone to go even with young kids!!

“One of the best experiences of my life”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

Breathtaking, we took the kids and our parents out to see the whales, we all had a fantastic time. The sun was shining, remember the sun cream!! A bit cold in the wind as the boat goes quite fast, take a windshield. The whales put on a great show for us the humpbacks are huge but so graceful. All the staff onboard were very informative and friendly, a must do on a vacation to the Cape.

“loved it!”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

Our whole trip to Provincetown was to see some whales. We spent an hour getting to a good spot and then after a half hour wait, we finally did see some minke and humpback whales. It was very exciting to watch these majestic creatures. It was too bad we only saw them for a short time but it was definitely exciting while it lasted.

“Call for reservations and call to confirm time they leave”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

This is our second time to the tour. This visit we were staying in Boston but drove the 2 ½ hours to do the whale watching from Provincetown for 2 reasons. Our previous experience years ago was AMAZING .. we saw several whales breech and one whale even jumped up and splashed us. Secondly we read that leaving from Boston was worse for motion sickness and wanted to avoid puking on our trip. We were there sunday may 12th. CALL FOR A RESERVATION AND CALL TO CONFIRM TIME OF DEPARTURE. THEY DO VARY DUE TO WEATHER!!!!!!! they left an hour early the previous day and it's lucky we called before making the 2 1/2 hour drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This trip was good but not exceptional like the previous visit., definitely worth doing and a good value. We saw around 10 whales but just their nose and tail .. No breech or at least I missed it. They pop up so fast my pictures aren’t great but was still fun. I stayed on top of the boat on the way out to get lighthouse photos but they aren’t kidding when they say how cold it is out there. I had layers and a hood but could have used winter coat, gloves and scarf.
On the return trip a man puked in the aisle and unfortunately a baby in a stroller was in that area with all wheels locked so the mom was unable to move the stroller out of the way. You’d think the guy would have went and got some fresh air or to the bathroom. We felt horrible for the young couple and the baby … the crew gave him stuff to clean up a bit but he just set there and made the crew clean up his mess and the mess on his shirt …. Ughhhhh. Good crew … but they need rubber gloves for such issues.
