“It was like National Geographic”
Reviewed April 22, 2008

Went a few years ago and it wasn't as half as good as it was this year. Saw 150 dolphins, 25 humpback whales, 5 finback whales and 4 right whales. Two humpbacks were playing around the boat and blowing air at us they were so peaceful and happy to see us. See my pictures for proof! 3 hours for $35 was well worth it and the on-board biologist could answer anything you threw at him. Just stay away from the kids as they get sick easy on the wavy ocean waters. Boats hold about 125 so book your trip ahead of time. Bonus if you go at sunset!

“Whale Watch in Cape Cod”
Reviewed April 21, 2008

We live on Cape Cod and always wanted to take a whale watch tour.. So we decided to take a tour with The Dolphin Fleet of Provincetown.Although at this timeof year( April) they do only 2 tours a day, we were at first disappointed that the last tour was sold out. But They decided to add a sunset cruise. I agree with all the other reviews that it was a great experience with a great company. They have a naturalists on board who does a commentary all the way . They stopped the boat often where the whales were feeding.
Take this tour and you will not be disappointed

“Great trip!”
Reviewed September 30, 2007

This was a great experience! Well worth it. Note that you can find discount coupons on the web, as well around town. They also offer a AAA discount.

The day was perfect, and they were very knowledgeable. We ended up seeing 3 different groups of whales, one of them had about 5 whales that played near the boat for probably 20 minutes or so. Then we saw another one resting - we were very close by, didn't seem bothered.

Very cool - I would say this is a must-do!

“Great Time!!”
Reviewed July 4, 2007

Well i agree with everyone else! This is a great time. Went on the Whale Watching Tour last Wednesday and had a great time. Saw 20-25 different whales, all humbacks. A few went right under the boat. Saw many tails and one splashed a fin and tail not more than 10 yards from the boat's side. The naturalists and very good and great time will be had. Bring sunscreen and a hat.

“Portuguese Princess Whale Watch”
Reviewed June 30, 2007

After researching the three main companies on Cape Cod, I decided to go whale watching with the Portuguese Princess. I chose this company because four year olds are still free and they were running a family of four special. Two adults and two children were $90, although on their website it looks like they're raising the rate to $100. This made it by far the most affordable option for my family of five. In the tripadvisor forums, I'd read that Portuguese Princess was basically a "sightseeing" cruise and didn't really teach you about the whales. I believe they have recently changed that by partnering with some marine science outfit in Provincetown. There was a naturalist on board who did a long lecture on the type of whales and birds that were in the area. She talked the entire ride out to sea. I believe she was also passing around things for people to look at, but we weren't near her so we didn't see what was going around. I had a great time on this trip and we saw lots of whales. You won't be disappointed chosing to go with this company.
