We took the Dolphin IX. Hopefully the sound system was better on the top deck, but on the lower deck, we caught maybe every third or fourth word from the naturalist's commentary. Decent snack bar, free motion-sickness meds (take before the boat takes off!), restrooms in the stern on the lower deck. Sightings are not guaranteed - figure you're going to have a fun few hours and if you do see whales, it's a bonus.

This was on one of the first dates with my current boyfriend and I loved it.
We missed an appointment with another whale watching fleet and they were booked for their other tours.
This place was friendlier and had more tours to offer. We booked for the next boat out.
The boat was large and accomodating and the tourguide was a whale expert.
The microphone wasn't so loud nor effective so she couldn't be heard clearly.

We seemed to have gotten a good day for the whales to come out and play. It was a beautiful site and one of my favorite days.
I would go back definitely and I would give my business to this fleet.

Of course, Provincetown is charming and fun so a romantic dinner afterwards was a perfect way to end the day.
A lovely summer weekend

too many people on boat felt i was a tuna fish being rounded up by a net. But was a good day. The information given out by the commentator was informative and the staff helpful. But as i say there were too many people on boat

We took the whale watching trip with adult members of the family and children ranging from 3 to 11 years of age. We all thought it was the best thing we did for the whole of our time at Cape Cod - it was so exciting to see the whales so closely - (around 6 Humpbacks and 2 Minke Whales during our 4 hour trip) and exceptionally so when they raised themselves out of the water and came crashing down with a huge splash! (I' m sure there's a more technical name for that!) It was a real privilege to witness that at such close range, quite moving.
There were excellent 'guides' on the boat who were very knowledgeable, they were members of the Whale It was a very hot, clear day, and the water was still. (Be sure to take sun lotion and preferably a hat as the sun really catches you on the top deck of the boat, although you can spend time on the lower deck but obviously you don't get the best view. Also, food is available if you need it, we took our own food and drink and were glad that we did as the choice was very limited.
Not to be missed.

On our first trip we were given travel sickness pills as it was a rough day. Managed to see some minke whales and when wedisembarked we were given a free pass for another day as the weather had been so rough. When we returned 2 days later we saw Minke whales and then were delightd to run into a couple of humpback whales who gave us quite a display. Enjoyed both trips and felt priviledged to see the humpbacks in their natural habitat
