Took the 10:30 boat from Provincetown and saw 2 groups of whales. The boat was busy but everyone was able to get a good vantage point and the on board naturalist did a great job filling in the gaps between sightings.

We took the dolphin fleet whale watch from Provincetown, Mass., June 2011 and were totally amazed. I expected toe see a a few tails and spouts (and would have been excited tosee them), but what we saw was unbelievable. Dozens of whales spouting and diving. Twice there was a group of 5-6 that actually came up out of the water with their mouths open.. There was even a breech (which rarely happens we were told). It was so great we considered going again the next day. A terrific experience for ids and adults of all ages

I have wanted to go whale watching my entire life. We went to P-town for the day and decided this was the activity to do. We were able to get incredibly close to the whales, hang out with them for a couple hours. The boat was nice, with a snack bar and clean restrooms. The ride out to see the whales was comfortable as well as they give an educational/informational update on the way! It was one of the neatest things I've ever done! I haven't enjoyed or been so excited during an excursion like this one! I was giddier than a 5 year old on Christmas!! Must do!! Well worth the money!

Decided to go to Provincetown to go on our whale watch tour. The feeding grounds are right off Provincetown and didn't want to spend a lot of time on the boat taking it from Hyannis or another town on Cape Cod. Taking a boat from Hyannis only provides you about an hour's time seeing the whales because of the time it takes to get there and the return trip.

We saw our first whale about 15 mins (if that) off the shores of Provincetown. We enjoyed about 3 hours on the boat seeing whales, also a few seals. We did not see any blue whales as they had not arrived when we went early June. We did, however, see one whale after another. In the wild, they are just magnificent, majestic, very large mammals. They seemed so gentle while traveling in the water.

The boat followed them on their journey. It was a wonderful, first experience. We sat at the back of the boat, very last bench at the balcony. This was a great location to see the whales from both sides. The boat turns to allow both sides ample viewing of the whales. Sitting at the very back bench, lots of viewing times. Actually, you don't really sit, you stand.

Get there extremely early. The line forms and gets very long. It was a sold out boat the day we went. My husband and I were the first two people in line. Us and the next 5 people in line got the best seats on the boat. They had been several times on this trip and told us where to sit before getting on the boat. If you don't arrive early, you will be sitting downstairs. Also, dogs are allowed which is extremely strange. One couple did bring a dog, but they sat downstairs.

It took 2 hours in high seas to find the whales, but it was worth every second of it - an amazing experience. Highly recommend this trip!
