“Beautiful Beach - Clean and Safe”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

I had a blast at Race Point Beach. The water is very clean (and swimmable). There were seals popping their heads up out of the water checking out the scenery every now and then. They reminded me of dogs! The beach was extremely clean - the sand was perfect. There was very minimal sea weed in the water, no water shoes needed at this location. I spent a beautiful day in June here and would come back again. I highly recommend this beach to anyone visiting P Town.

“Pristine”

Clean beach, soft sand, seal sightings! Farther out than Herring Cove, and lacking the food/facilities, but the beach itself is less rocky and more expansive. It is the ideal setting for the perfect beach day.

“Saw seals!”
Reviewed June 22, 2014

We drove up to Race Point Beach to try to see whales. Instead we saw about 15 seals in groups of 3 swimming up the coast. It was a treat to see them.

“Excellent Beach”

If you've got good weather, make sure you send some time there. In June, the beach had very few people.

“Beautiful Sunset”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

Compared to Herring Cove Beach, this is located on the ocean side. There were more park rangers in the area and appeared to be monitored. If you want to get naked, try Herring Cover Beach where it is less monitored and more LGBT-friendly.
