This is definitely to be expected of Mac's! So glad they've opened their newest outpost in Provincetown! We were a little early for dinner but just in time for Happy Hour at the bar :-)
Service: Laura, our Bartender was so friendly. I bet we will be seeing her more often from now on!
Ambiance: casual and nicely done. Nothing fancy but due to the lack of acoustical treatment, I bet this ace can get pretty loud when in full swing. We liked it at the bar!
Food: F equals Fantastic!! Started with a dozen oysters followed by another half dozen oysters and shrimp cocktail! That's how good and fresh they were. Entrees were homemade spaghetti carbonara and seared scallops. The carbonara was incredible! Fresh pasta could have been a little more al dente but flavors were perfect. Loved the pine nuts and the mushrooms. Served with an runny egg yolk on top! Will be having that again soon! Scallops were incredibly large. 4 per serving on top of nori and rice congee. It was perfect!
We have been waiting for Mac's to open and now that we've been there, we will be regulars! Btw, their sushi is pretty awesome too!
Great job everyone!

This new Ptown restaurant was busy on an early April Saturday night, but the service was warm and quick, there was a great mix of characters at the communal table in the bar, and the oysters were PERFECT, happily enhanced by the mignonette sauce. Seared scallops and fried clams were pretty tasty too. Fun atmosphere and excellent seafood. Great addition to the local restaurant scene.

While the restaurant is closed the market is open and has a great selection of fresh seafood. We bought the shrimp and crab cakes and had a wonderful dinner at home. Started the meal with their lobster bisque, which is fabulous!

Delighted that they have opened in Ptown. The market is open all year round and is fantastic! Dinner last night at the restaurant was very good. The calamari was excellent and the monkfish was outstanding-well done with garlic sauce. The broiled cod was very tender and tasty but the rice just ok. The poached cod was good but the tomato sauce too heavy. We are looking forward to the restaurant reopening in the spring.

We were excited to go. A new restaurant in Ptown open year round is a great thing. We had a 50/50 experience. Let's start with the good. We were welcomed warmly and advised of the wait time. They were on the mark. We were seated and attended to promptly. I ordered the fried scallops and my partner ordered the poached cod. The scallops were outstanding, very lightly breaded, cooked perfectly, sweet tender and juicy. The bad things: they were out of a number of things, bread and butter, steamers, and they were barely half way through the weekend. The cod was poached nicely but the poaching liquid was not quite right. It contained Linguica and tomato. The sauce tasted raw, almost as if they just poured tomato sauce into the liquid and didn't cook it. It just wasn't good. The fish was cook nicely it was just undone by the sauce. Table service was excellent, bar service not so much. The bar tender was in attentive and seemingly clueless.
