“Nice View and Information”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

My fiance and I came here to get our beach bonfire permit for Herring Cove beach. I've been here several times before but I'm always impressed with the visitor center. There is usually a ranger on staff who can tell you a lot of information about the area.

They usually have free movies running every 20 minutes or so with history about the area. We watched one about whaling in the early 20th century. They also have a little gift shop with lots of cool 'National Seashore' stuff, so we bought a few things (although it's kind of expensive). The view out on the observation deck is really something to see.

One downside to this place is the tourist buses that stop here and suddenly the place is packed with people.

Overall this place is worth a stop for some cool Cape Cod gifts and to get some good info on the area!

“Great views”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

The best place on the cape for great views. One flight of stairs up and you have a beautiful 360 degree panorama. Also a great learning center.

“Cape Cod Natl Seashore -- Good Info Center and Views”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

I’ve been to several beaches and different streets or boardwalk areas. I love areas where the shops are unique, artsy and ecliptic. P-town has kind of lost this charm with too many t-shirt shops and too much emphasis on “pride”…it’s a beautiful beach town but not charming. The roads were very narrow; however, they were not blocked off to accommodate walkers/bikers making it a frustrating trip for drivers.

“Great Observation Deck and Rangers”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

We have always had such great experiences with the National Park Service and this was no exception. We have always found the parks and infrastructure to be well maintained the Rangers and volunteers to be so professional and knowledgeable. This visitors center was no exception. Stop and visit , if there is ot a movie showing that day, ask the Ranger and they will let you pick what you want from the 5 available.

“great place to poke around in for a bit”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

The drive to this place alone deserves an 'excellent'...driving all the way up rt 6 to Provincetown is a beautiful drive...passing dunes and scenic areas all the way up....it's breath taking. Once you get to the visitors center, there's a lookout that you can go to and take some great pictures of the water, dunes, etc. There's also stuff to see inside....including movies about the Cape Cod National Seashore, etc. Great way to pass the time...bring camera and binoculars!
