On our last day of our great long week vacation, we had to celebrate.
Lunch!! Betsy, welcome use with a nice smile, and quickly sat us.
Our server, funny and sassy welcome us, quickly took our order.
The Oyster Rockefellers are out of this world, if you order some and there is more that 2 in your party get an additional order! Trust me 1 order is not enough.
My fish taco was big with lots of veggies and a nice big piece of cod.
My partner seafood omelet was ok he was not too impressed.
Our margaritas added to the celebration!
Best part was dessert, the famous coconut cake!!
Big rich layer cake with lots of coconut and moist fluffy frosting.
Leave room for desert; enjoy this Provincetown landmark restaurant.

Betsy is a doll - remembered our names two days after we stopped by to make reservations (post-Carnival if you want to eat you'd better have a reservation or plan on spending a long time in the bar waiting). Our waiter was fun, had great energy, and helped make sure we steered clear of any dietary restriction/allergy issues. His recommendations were spot on. The ahi tuna nachos were amazing. The fish we both had was tremendous (salmon and sole respectively). I'd rate it five stars but it's not a five star restaurant, it just tastes that good. Great view over the water for those with that window seating as well.

A friend the day before asked me to go to p-town with him and that it was Mardi Gras week
We went on thurs Aug 22. It was the day of the annual parade. Knowing this we decided at 10am to make reservations at Bayside Betsy's for 5 pm. After the 3pm parade
The whole afternoon was a parade in itself on Commercial st. The formal parade with floats was very late reaching our spot and by 4:45 we were worried that we were going to have a tough time getting to the restaurant on time to dine
We made it after being a part of the parade ourselves as it was the only way to get there. We did end up having a great table at the windows in the corner with views in 2directions.
The menu is very extensive in seafood but also has great ribs that slide right off the bone $25
I had a special sole piccata $27 and the third had chicken Oscar $26
All were fabulous and large enough. The rolls are very good an we were brought out a second bowl of rolls with no questions asked. Our server was very upfront " friendly" with us and though the name on he receipt say Nichola it may be short for Nicholas don't forget the dessert. We each had a wonderful pistachio cake $7 ea yummy. Coffee is $3

Like: breakfast with bloody Mary's overlooking the bay.
Dislike: the repeated annoying harassment by the host outside trying to sell every person walking by to eat inside. Give it a break and let word-of-mouth sell the place like any other decent restaurant in town!!!

Great staff, good food. Betsys it's right downtown in the middle of everything. The prices are reasonable and the service is great and the food is delivered to the bar or in the restaurant
