My spouse and I went for an anniversary dinner at Napi's We go once a year when we are in Provincetown. The comfortable and spacious dining room led to a romantic atmosphere. We asked for the waiter who served us last year--David. Once again, he came through with impeccable service and right-on suggestions. We went all the way with appetizers (sashimi/calamari), salad (Caesar), entrée (scallops/cod) and desert (chocolate cake/coffee Kalhua ice cream.) All were delicious and expertly prepared. Helen, Napi's wife, came over to our table and greeted us personally, and Napi himself suggested the desert. Freshly brewed coffee ended a wonderful dining experience.

This place was misnamed.....it should be called crappies.....the food was insultingly horrible......it was a decent place years ago when the owner was on the premises....today I would recommend it to those unfortunate souls who are into purging their gut of beneficial intestinal flora.....take a short cut and cut out the middleman....just puke over the railing directly.....free of charge and no need to tip the unfortunate waitstaff....this place should be shut down before anyone expires from the experience....by the way, if you are somehow kidnapped by aliens and find yourself in this restaurant....don't order the nine dollar salad.....stop at Wendy's first and get their side salad.....it is larger and fresher than the crappies foliage on a shingle...

On a recent trip to P-Town, we stopped at Nappi's and ordered our standard shrimp and scallop picatta. The taste was the same as in previous years, but the price was $5 more than last year, and the scallops had a little sand. I mentioned the sand to the waiter, and suggested that the chef soak the scallops for 10 minutes in water before cooking them. This should remove the sand. It's still a great dish.
