“Best restaurant on the cape.”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

My husband and I found this gem through the website chowhound. The grounds and flowers are spectacular, and the view of the ocean from this restaurant is romantic and - breathtaking. The food was very good, the service was prompt. The wooden floors and framed pictures on the wall add to the coziness and intimacy. You will not be disappointed, this place is top notch. You can sit outside with your cocktail and enjoy a drink and have a unspoiled view of the ocean. They chilled my husband's wine outside so he could watch my son play on the beach. It was perfect.

“Great Dining experience”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

The Red Inn Restaurant is a must go-to restaurant if you're ever in the PTown area. Service is very good. Even though it was crowded there was no feeling that you were being rushed through your dinner. Beautiful setting. Nicely laid out. Good drinks, great appetizers, the duck was excellent.

“Excellent cuisine, setting, and service!”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

My husband and I are big fans of The Red Inn Restaurant. We love the beautiful and quaint setting overlooking the water. We have dined there over a dozen times in 2012 and hope to double that number in 2013.
What do we enjoy? We love sitting at the bar talking and laughing with the great bartenders. In the summer, we enjoy their happy hour $1.00 Wellfleet Oysters. What a deal for these fresh and tasty oysters. We also enjoy the spicy, encrusted shrimp appetizer.
The tables are primarily all near a window overlooking the beach and water. There is a lovely fireplace in the fall and winter. My favorite entree is the rack of lamb which just melts in your mouth. The mashed califlower if wonderful. The fish dishes are always fresh and delightful. The wine menu is also satisfying.
This is a popular and busy restaurant so be sure to make reservations and to check what their off season hours are.
There is a nice parking place across the street which is very much appreciated.
My son and his wife also enjoy this restaurant.
Please plan to visit. You will be glad you did.

“BYO Flashlight”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

The food was very good (if overpriced) but we were frustrated by how dark the restaurant was. I understand and appreciate creating atmosphere but the customers should be able to read the menus without pulling out a flashlight (thank you IPhone app!)---and we weren't the only ones who had to resort to that approach. I'm sure during the day or evenings in summer there's plenty of natural light (and beautiful views of the bay) but during winter they need to pump up the indoor lighting. If we go back it will be on a sunny day :)

“The Red Inn”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

Having visited this restaurant many times over the years and in at least two of its incarnations, I was pleased to see how attractive it currently looks. The setting, of course, at the tip of Cape Cod is gorgeous and clearly the current owners care about presentation -- everything looks very pretty. BUT -- and it's a big BUT -- why has it become so pretentious? The grander than grand individual who greets guests clearly believes he rivals St. Peter at the pearly gates in importance and many of the staff seem to share his grandiose self-image. This kind of "elegance" is barely tolerable in New York or even Paris, but in an ocean-front spot in one of the most colorful communities in the world, hardly acceptable. Frankly, it leaves a vary bad taste.
The food at The Red Inn is mostly good and well-prepared, but I could have done without the server's precious explanations. Again, this is Provincetown -- the very antithesis of pretension. Let's play up the cozy country inn and forget about the faux grandeur.
