Tip for Tops'n is one place that is off the beaten tourist track of Provincetown. It is more a part of the old Portuguese fishing tradition that is a big part of old Provincetown.
The restaurant is cute. It's full of old fishing items and big fish hang on the walls. It is very local and very old New England.
The waitresses all are locals and it is kind of like your mom serving you lunch!
The food is okay, it's pretty much your local diner sandwiches and burgers. We usually have lunch here once or twice each summer and the food is very typcial of American diner. It's not wonderful, but it will fill you and does the trick.
The one thing that I always get and that really love here is the kale soup. This is a local tradition and this version is amazing. It's local and homemade. You won't complain about the rest of the meal (but neither will you remember it), but you will remember the delicious kale soup!
