“Great Spot Hidden in Back of Whaler's Wharf”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

During the day there are great views onto the bay. At night when I was there it didnt have as great of an atmosphere, in this oddly shaped restaurant but the food was outstanding. If our table wasnt near the front entrance I would have given this spot 5 stars. The food was very good and service top notch. There was a table by the window that we asked for and was told by the hostess it was taken, but no one sat there until we were getting up to leave.

“Best Cosmo's with a view”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

Weary after shopping, whale watching, or climbing the Provincetown Monument, stop by Ross' for the best Cosmopolitan with a view you'll find anywhere. A really lovely veranda overlooking Provincetown Harbor. You can watch the boats, a paddling lesson and enjoy expert cocktails. Next time I'm going to have dinner because all the food going by looked absolutely delicious.

“Fun Atmosphere and Delicious Food”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

My wife and I dined at Ross' Grille last Saturday night. It had been recommended by a local so we figured it had to be decent. We got in last minute and ate early 5:30. Within a half hour the place was filled. Yes it's loud but with the pleasant buzz of people having a good time. Our server was knowledgeable pleasant and quietly competent. She guided us through the menu with patience. The food was beautifully prepared and presented and the wine list is first class. We had a great view of the bay during sunset and after dinner took our glasses of wine and retired to the porch. All in all a very very pleasant dining experience. Thank you.

“Good food, terrible service and atmosphere”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

I'll start off with the good. I ordered the fillet with mushroom sauce. It was cooked to perfection, was tender and flavorful. Unfortunately that's the only good thing I can say. We were there on a Sunday night, and the noise level was so high that we had to shout to be heard across the table. The tile floor, glass windows across all the walls and hard ceiling made conversation virtually impossible. Next, the service can only be described as glacial. It was a solid 15 minutes after we got our drinks before our server came back to take orders. Given that this is not a big place we were very surprised at the lack of attention. After dinner, we requested the check and it took over 10 minutes to get it. At that point only 4 or 5 tables were occupied, so it was not that busy. Finally, while I said the fillet was cooked properly, very rare, it was served on a stone cold plate and was cold before I could finish half. It should have been served on at least a warm plate. Oh, and the bread is a generic baguette, cold, served with stone cold butter. Not worth a repeat visit.

“Great drinks”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

We wanted to enjoy a few cocktails while looking at the water. This place has a small balcony overlooking the beach. Nicely decorated. The bartender really knew how to mix a drink and the price was great!
