You must visit here if your in ptown, the transvestite karaoke is a great time and draws a crowd. We didn't eat here so I can't comment on the food. Bartenders are friendly and quick

“Awful...ewww.”
Reviewed August 8, 2013 via mobile

Where to start? The filthy floor on the patio? No excuse when it can be mopped. The beer glass with a huge glob of something stuck to it? The incorrect order? Do not bother stopping here. The Mac and cheese my youngest ordered was reheated Kraft. The kids ice cream was plain vanilla in a prepacked foam cup. Overall, we could not wait to leave.

“Go for Wellfleets between 3 and 5. Drinks are a rip off”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

The shucker does outstanding Wellfleets and clams between 3 and 5 for $1 each. Drop in and enjoy a half dozen. Bar drinks are ridiculously overpriced. I get it that summer is their season but the prices here for beer and mixed drinks stick it you and they are crAp pours.

“Keep On Walking By, Don't Stop, Just Keep Walking”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

Lets keep this simple, from all appearances the Governor Bradford looks like a warm, inviting restaurant with lovely outdoor seating and lively indoor entertainment....DO NOT BE FOOLED!

Outrageous wait time for food 45-60 minutes with only two other tables in the vicinity

Food is nasty, sloppy, thrown on plate

Service sucks, staff is under trained and clueless

I visited the GB with friends, been here before and against my better judgment I went along with the group (I should have gone for pizza) and here is my final comment...

Shut her down, reexamine the business, and reopen with a new menu, new cooks, new wait staff, and new attitude. An embarrassment to the other establishments in Provincetown.

“Governor Bradford was an asset to Ma. This place is not!”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

I stopped in for late afternoon drinks while traveling with family. Apparently there is no table service if you are only having drinks. The waitress told the first of the party to arrive to just take a table and come to the bar Indifferent at best..As 3 groups were paying for their own drinks that is 3 trips to the bar to compete for the bartenders attention with others already at the bar. We later decided to have snacks and had to go find a waiter to ask for menus. Then we had to find a waiter totake an order.
The wait for snacks was pretty long considering that it was the middle of the afternoon and only 3 other tables were occupied. Snacks were very basic and expensive for what you got.

Safety is a question as electric lites in the ceiling were plugged onto outlets also in the ceiling and what looked like a smoke alarm was falling off the ceiling.

The restrooms were small and smelly,

This is not our first trip to provincetown and we have had much better experiences elsewhere in town. We will not go back.
