Went off with friends biking for a morning, and was shown around this area starting from Herring bone beach and we traveled all through these amazing trails, around the little lakes etc. it was stunningly beautiful to be in the forests, with excellent trails , well marked signs, and great photo opts.

This was an easy walk that we did while waiting to check into our room. Nice views of trees and ponds. Bring bug spray!

a really enjoyable bike ride, one of my happiest moment in Ptown, well worth renting a bike for a day (22$)

The walk at Beech Forest is for birders. Where there are birds there are bugs. We have seen regular stuff, but also an abundance of warblers in the spring. Bring the bug spray.
Also there are dogs, which are supposed to be leashed but usually aren't.
The bike trail runs through here as well - that trail is beautiful.
Lots of parking and decent bathrooms.

Cape Cod has numerous freshwater ponds hidden in the woods behind the dunes. This park offers a quiet shady place away from the surf, sun and crowds of the ocean.
