You wouldn't know it from the outside, but this place has the best interior decor of any restaurant in Ptown. Airy, modern, and you don't feel like you're anywhere near commerical street. And, surprisingly, the sushi's actually pretty good!

This gorgeous new space is the only new restaurant we tried on this year's annual P'town vacation that we really liked. The sushi is fresh and beautifully presented, and the dining room, a former church sanctuary, is truly awesome. It wasn't busy when we were there -- it should have been -- so we were almost overwhelmed with the attentiveness of the service.

This is Saki's second year open and still continues to impress. The food is delicious and the atmosphere thrilling. they do take walkins, however, I recommend making a reservation, you'll be glad you did.

If you're quite the social person, they have a "community table" where you can dine with other patrons. I think this is one of the only tables that you might get if you walk in from the street.

The sushi is all very fresh and the chef does amazing things with the presentation. Sushi is not cheap so don't be surprised by the prices. I'm not really into saki but waiter made a great suggestion and I wasn't disappointed, it' was so good that I got another one when I returned back.

If you're not into raw seafood, they also have hot dishes too, which I haven't tried yet because I tend to go just for the sushi. BTW, the eel melts in your mouth! If you just want to be seen you can also hang out at the bar or lounge on the sofa's. I just wish they were open year round!

When you reach the top of the stairs, a soaring, beautiful, asian-inspired room appears. This is a very urban-looking, sophisticated, Japanese space. There is a bar-lounge area, a Sushi Bar, and tables and booths of all sizes. Aside from Sashimi and Sushi, there are many cooked Japanese specialties. For two people, the $75 Small Boat is a filling meal of Sashimi, Sushi and rolls (38 items), many not on the menu. The chef invents items as he assembles your Boat. In addition to Saki, there is a well-priced wine list. You must try this place.
