Great choice of pastries, and breakfast dishes, and broad choice of pastries made on the premises. Totally informal and right in the heart of town. Ideal resting stop for visitors exploring the heart of town.

We stopped here to pic up some Portuguese rolls and some pastries. We live in NJ and frequently visit the many fine Portuguese bakeries there. We were told that they did not have any. What type of Portuguese bakery doesn't have rolls? I still wanted to sample something, so I ordered pastry. The quality of the pastry was something that I would expect from the bakery department of a Pathmark, (a low end supermarket chain in NJ).

If you stop here expecting anything that is even remotely Portuguese, you will be disappointed. The only thing Portuguese about this bakery is the word "Portuguese" in its name.

I am also very surprised to see this bakery so highly rated by other TripAdvisor reviewers. It's clearly not worthy of the high ratings that other reviewers have given it.

We visit the Bakery every time in Provincetown with the family a few times a year which is not enough for real Portuguese eats and treats. The Bifana Plate is delicious and the deserts are amazing. The malasada dough is made fresh and makes all the difference. Most importantly, they have chicken fingers, fries and cookies for children. We look forward to our visit and the bakery is our first and last stop when we visit.

A must stop if you like Portuguese rolls and breads. We bought a bag of rolls. Enjoyed them on the ride back to Boston and for breakfast the next day.

Lots of Portuguese bakery and savory options. Smell coming from the bakery is enticing from the street.
