Heard of Pepe's from a friend and happened upon it midway through a day of strolling and shopping in Provincetown. We were meeting people who were not yet in town and tried to get a reservation. Unfortunately, reservations are not accepted. Fortunately, the host was gracious enough to save us a table.
And, the table he saved was perfect - upstairs on the rail, overlooking the water - we couldn't have found a nicer place!
We just had a light lunch. Most of us just had soft drinks; but, I had a fantastic, spicy bloody mary, made perfectly.
Lobster bisque was magnificent with a gigantic full claw lurking in the depths! Two of the folks had lobster rolls, purported to be 5 ounces, very little mayonnaise and a hint of celery. Well, the description was apt in two of the three items; but, no way the lobster was 5 ounces - more like 7 or 8!
A scallop roll was presented well with three very large, juicy scallops and the fried scallop platter was even better - more, smaller scallops, perfectly breaded and fried.
This restaurant, alone, makes the trip to the tip of the Cape wholly worthwhile!
