We've no axe to grind- we won't be coming back unfortunately, so this is a review with no agenda. Recommended by our hotel just up the road after two good evenings at the Red Inn- but we wanted a change. Not on the main tourist road, and no sea views, but more than made up for in the ambience and outstanding food. Sunday night is not usually the best, but this was for my wife and me. Salad starter, then deconstructed Tuna somethingorother. Next, seafood cakes, and followed by banana bread pudding. All shared, and washed down by an inexpensive Muscadet. Bill ~ $87. Maybe we got lucky with our choice, but this was really well done, beautifully presented and a fantastic night out.
I say this as an English foodie- and I write this having been to Fat Duck, all of Gordon's finest etc etc. It was great, and you shouldn't miss it. Our sadness is that they are closed for our last night here. C'est la vie!
