Both history and exercise all in one! Overlooks P-Town...great views from the top (if you have the stamina to climb it's steep, narrow, winding stairs.

“Bird's Eye View”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

Did you know that the Pilgrims on the Mayflower actually landed FIRST at Provincetown, MA -- in 1620? They stayed there for five weeks before moving on to Plymouth. It was at Provincetown that the Pilgrims wrote the Mayflower Compact. The Pilgrim Monument was erected (1907-1910) to commemorate the landing of the pilgrims. It is the tallest all-granite structure in the U.S. with a height of 352' above sea level. No elevators but 116 stairs and 60 ramps. If you make it to the top (I did!) there is a spectacular view of Provincetown and the lower part of Cape Cod. Magnificent!

“interesting”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

very cool monument and museum. Great views over the town and harbor. Would highly suggest climbing to the top, totally worth it! The museum connected to it is very interesting as well. Some great artifacts and a nice story of the pilgrims first landing. The people working there are friendly and will gladly chat up their town. All in all a delightful experience

“looking for a bit of exercise? Walk the tower to the top!”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

for one admission price you can visit the museum and the tower. If you keep your receipt, you can walk the tower as part of your exercise routine every day you are visiting. The view is spectacular and you'll see many new places worth visiting from way up at the top!
