“Nice when a chain doesn't feel like a chain”
Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

Defeated by the portion size. We enjoyed the various starters unaware of the size and density of the lunchtime combos. Waitress was delightful and a nice choice of beers. But even though we had shared four starters between five the mixes plates of taco, enchilada, rice and beans were more than we could handle.

Definitely would go afain

“Great spot for drinks downtown”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

Love this place. If it's nice out you can enjoy your margarita on the patio while people watching. Or go at night and play pool at the upstairs bar. One of my favorites!

“Keep away from the Baby Back Ribs”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

I have eaten here a good half dozen times before and have always enjoyed the food and service. For a chain restaurant, the quality has always been good...the food fresh and tasty. However, I ate here over the holiday weekend, and ordered the baby back ribs--full rack. It was terrible They looked and tasted like they had been hanging around for a while; the temperature of the food was moderate and the sweet potato fries were soggy. Only redeeming experience was the Margarita, which was decent and the coleslaw which was fresh though lacked flavor. They also did a good job navigating me through their GF menu.

“Surprised by Chain Restaurant”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

My husband and I went after a play Friday evening, and was quite surprised. Sam Diegos was not our first choice but since the other restaurants in town closed their kitchens at 10pm we had no choice but to try it. Hubby ordered a burger, can you imagine a burger at a Mexican restaurant! Especially where we only go to K Katies for burgers, but shockingly enough he said it was awesome, cooked perfectly, portugese sweet bread, etc. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was very good as well. The only thing I could see which coud be improved upon was the french fries, they were not cooked enough, and the drinks, pretty pricey for hardly any booze. I may go back again.

“Good food, drinks and atmosphere at a reasonable price”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

This is a lively place. The regular Margaritas came in a big glass and tasted good even when the ice cubes had mostly melted. Their baby back ribs were voted best in the area and we found them to be delicious. The meat fell off the bone. The sweet potato fries could have been crispier, but tasted fine. The Roadhouse combo included a Tamale, an enchilada and a taco plus black beans and Mexican rice. Rice is rice, but the tamale and enchilada were really good. The service was friendly and prompt and the prices ina tourist town like Plymouth were very reasonable.
