Two hikes to recommend. The easier and most traveled hike would be the hike around the pond at the ranger station. This hike is great for children as well. Even at a very leisurely pace one could finish this walk in under two hours.
Another hike that is longer but so beautiful is the Bentley Loop. This hike is longer and includes some slight elevation changes. This is a favorite trail for me.

It is a beautiful place to go camping especially the charge pond area. One time I came and my site was dirty but they took care of it right away. It's a nice place to roll down the windows and cruise through in the summertime. Would recommend it to any outdoorsmen!

I have been to Miles Standish a few times to ride bikes. There are good paths but the scenery is lacking. The ponds could be nice but the beach areas are poorly maintained. The State of MA should be embarrassed , this could be a great forest area and attract many customers if the State would spend a few bucks.

Myles Standish State Forest is a large area with many different loops for camping, whether you have a tent, trailer, or stay in their cabins, this no frills campground is for you. Sites are decent sized, have picnic table, and a fire place. Dogs are welcome and my dog enjoyed the time there. There isn't a camp store and bathrooms are old. The price is cheap for MA residents at $12 for no hook ups.

If you like tent or small camper camping this is a nice park. Over 400 sites some reserved for equestrian.
No hook ups. Pure camping!
Bath houses are not great but free hot showers.
There are a number of nice ponds. Good for swimming and fishing.
Miles of hiking and horse trails.
Special sites for groups.
You are a few miles from downtown Plymouth,America's home town. Lots to do in the area.
We were very happy with our campsite.
