One of the best lobster rolls we have had and food that lived up to their reputation. Very simple, casual ambiance. Food is ordered at one window and picked up when your number is called. There are several eateries within a couple humdred yards, but this is THE one. We are looking forward to a return trip.

You gotta know the deal: There are no waiters. There are no waitresses. There are no menus. There is no china. There is no silverware. There is no tablecloth on the table. There is nobody delivering your drinks to the table. No decorations on the walls and no fancy music playing in the background.

You stand at a counter, order your food from a chalkboard, carry your own Bud Light to the table in a plastic cup. Then you look around. Everybody here is a local. People are here with their grandparents, who have always come here. And then you look out the window at the view. It is breathtaking, gorgeous. You are looking across Plymouth Harbour, the harbor where the Pilgrims landed in 1620, and you are watching gulls circling over head and fishing boats bobbing in the sunlight.

They call the number on your little slip of paper. You go pick up your food from the window. Get this: TWO lobsters for $22. Unbelievable. They are the BEST lobsters, the freshest lobsters, the most perfect you have ever had in your LIFE. Who cares if they are on a paper plate? Who cares if the silverware is plasticware? Who cares if you have to give the lady at the window a $1 deposit to get a metal lobster cracker tool thing. These are the BEST lobsters you have EVER had in your LIFE!!!

I LOVE this place.

This is the real deal. Don't let the rustic setting fool you. The food is fabulous and reasonably priced. It is served on paper plates and trays, is a rustic harbor setting. This is the real deal. Best place for great seafood in the Plymouth Harbor.

The seafood here is the best anywhere. The price is incredible and the view of the bay is terrific.
I also buy all my seafood here to cook at home. The lobsters are reasonably priced and always very tasty.

If you are planning to eat at Wood's for lunch you'd better go early as its very popular amongst the locals. It was recommended to us by a local who said that its location right on the fishing dock meant the fish were unloaded from the boats and go straight into the kitchen. Our baked haddock was so fresh and flaky. The crab cakes were well seasoned. I noticed several tables digging into lobster. As others have said, its not the place for date night but how often does that happen anyway? We sat outside on the picnic tables and had all the ambiance we wanted.
