Had a 10% off because of staying at Inn. Breakfast was very good and filling, especially the wheat, cranberry pancakes.

“breakfast”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

This place is decorated like it was in the 70's and that's part of the charm. Breakfast is what to go for here. I have to commend the chef right now! Everything we got was cooked to perfection. I ordered an omelet. The egg was perfectly cooked and folded delicately around nicely diced tomatoes, chopped bacon and cheddar cheese mixture. The cheese was melty but not over powering. The toast again was lightly browned and served dry as requested (this gets messed up a lot at breakfast time). My friends eggs over easy were white, no over cook edges yet no clear whites either. Her hash cooked crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The single pancake was full of blueberries, and again cooked exactly right. This is pretty good now a days when breakfast is an after thought often without much care to the handling of the items. We ate EVERYTHING.

“Best for breakfast”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

Our family goes to Plymouth every summer for 12 years.... breakfast at the hearth & kettle is delicious! It is our favorite place to eat in the morning. Fast service, good food, reasonable price.

“Friendly service - good basic food.”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

Plently of choice on the menu.We found the meals good value for a hotel . Good basic food , not exceptional but enjoyable nonetheless . The dining area is fairly basic but all in all the experience was far better than we expected after seeing some reviews.

“Terrible”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

The wine was plonked on the table unopened and un poured. The food was poor quality, poorly cooked and not what we ordered. There was no egg on the egg and spinach salad (apparently they were "out"), the starters were brought to the table at the same time as the mains. We were not offered or given water. The main course we received bared no resemblance to what we ordered. A really bad experience. I hope this was just a one off, or else I can't imagine much of a future for this place.
