“Great service, nice views, mediocre food...”
Reviewed November 13, 2010

I went here for lunch with my parents.

One of the things that struck me as odd was that the menu only had scrod for fish. The specials included cod as another option. Still a very limited selection considering you are in a port town!! Woods next door for example has scrod, cod, tuna, halibut, swordfish, haddock, etc....

The cod was tasteless, the sauce the same, and the mashed potatos had were not hot enough. It was edible but blah. The chowder was clumpy and way too thick..and again did not taste like it should,

In fairness the serivce was excellent and the prices were reasonable.
At the end of the day the phrase "you get what you pay for" rings true.

This was well below Legal Seafood in quality of food....but it was cheaper.
Personally, I would rather pay more and get better quality.

I would not go back here unless I wanted to grab a quick burger.

“BEST RESTAURANT IN TOWN”
Reviewed November 2, 2010

I save this location when I want to entertain visitors. Can accommodate large groups (50+) Evening dining requires shirt with collar, no hats (of any type). Great appetizers; excellent seafood. Valet parking, or you can use metered parking.

“Very Good Food, but VERY noisy”
Reviewed October 27, 2010

We were a group of about 12 for dinner before a wedding. This place is very noisy and we couldn't hear each other until it started to thin out later in the evening. The food was very good. Lobster Bisque the best I've ever had. The chicken Oscar was great. Desserts were very good. Learn sign language before you go.

“Delicious Food and Drinks but mediocre service”
Reviewed October 4, 2010

We went here with another couple for a late lunch. Tons of seating outside, which was great! The menu is reasonably priced and there is probably something on it for everyone. The drink menu was also pretty extensive. I was not at all impressed with our waitress - she checked on us every half hour, didn't write down our orders, and messed up on two orders. Luckily, the guy who brought our food out had excellent customer service and was able to help us out. Overall - great place!

“No Haddock at a New England Restaurant on the Bay?”
Reviewed September 12, 2010

This was our first time visiting Plymouth and after a day of sight-seeing we chose to eat supper at the East Bay Grill. We ate outside on the lovely patio which was full of lush perennial summer grasses and palm trees; however the food was truly blah, blah, and more blah. We were very surprised that a restaurant situated directly on the bay only offered scrod and not haddock. How can you serve seafood at a New England restaurant and not offer haddock? What about dinner rolls? In any case, once the meals arrived we discovered that they were lukewarm and overly salted. Next time we are in Plymouth we will do a little more research on the local restaurants and eat elsewhere.
