This is a nice memorial but considering what it stands for it seemed like it deserved better the small side street it was down.
We went on a rainy morning and noone was there but us, we took some pics and left. Worth a look if you are passing.

The monument is fantastic in itself and well worth the visit, but we had the added advantage of having "Leo the Miller" from Jenny Museum to give us the background and stories about the monument. It made all the difference, it turned out to be one of the best parts of my visit. Leo made the visit very inspiring and uplifting.

Huge and beautiful monument recognizing those who persevered to found our nation. Don't just look at it from straight on but walk around the entire circumference to gain a full perspective of this great tribute to our forefathers.

While this monument is off the beaten path, it's worth finding. Please take time to look it up on Wikipedia so it makes more sense.

Was a bit hard to find and poorly signposted for drivers but was quite a remarkable statue that is worth having a look at close up. Would recommend in the morning as the sun is behind it in the afternoon and makes it hard to look at the statue from the front.
