Although I have enjoyed the Rye Tavern each time I have been. I was a little disappointed this last time. They pride themselves in buying local and supporting local farmers. However, the get their trout from the Midwest, when there is a trout farm and hatchery right here in Plymouth. Makes me wonder if they are truly supporting the local farmers like they say.

This place was jammed when we went and it is easy to understand why. It's a small cozy Tavern, supposedly haunted, with a fireplace in every room, a great food selection and decently priced wine as well. It is a little expensive, but the value is there because the food is great. Not too many places do Duck very well, but the pan seared Duck breast is excellent here. The Cod dish is also very good. We had the pork belly pierogies, excellent, Butternut Squash Soup, very very good, Steak Tartare, great, and the crisp Brussel sprouts, which were the best appetizer. We did get a couple of bottles of Justin wine, which for $70, is a very fair price for a very good wine in a Restaurant.

Went one night this summer, the place is just the spot to sit and enjoy good food and even better drinks. It is set in the woods of Pine Hills and has a menu that will please all. The clam chowder came with a fried clam garnish nice touch. I will be back again soon. If you are in the area give it a try you will love it.

Lovely setting, great food, authtic old tavern. It is rather noisey but worth it for the atmosphere.

Food was excellent and prepared to perfection. We had a pork chop on a bed of risotto and spinach. The chop was moist and the seasoning was awesome
