“Like Camping at a Federal Facility”

Stayed here Oct. 18, 11. Travelling in our RV with two std. poodles. Charged us $10 extra per day for dogs and we were relegated to a "Pet" site. Nothing provided for the fee. Not even an endless supply of gold doggy bags. Could not leave our dark forest site to enjoy any of the site amenities as could not have our dogs, Animals got ticks here and we were not told this could be a problem. Note they also charge the "Pet fee" for children. Great family place, I don't think so. WiFi poor and an hour free for the site cost is a rip. Would only recommend site to adults who don't mind getting nothing for your fee and obey the rules.

Visiting Pinewood Lodge campground has been a family tradition for many years. The campground itself is beautiful and it is very well maintained. I am always pleased to find clean restroom facilities. Rates (& any other fees) are clearly stated on their printed information and are comparable with other campgrounds in the area. In the few instances where there have been any problems, the park owners and staff were ready to help resolve the issue and do whatever they could to make our stay a great one. Even though we've stayed numerous times, the staff always makes sure to point out important information (such as quarters needed for shower & change machine available in game room, quiet hour policy, fires out policy, etc.) which is helpful. Overall just a fantastic place!

The first night we stayed in one of the cabins. There was a big problem with carpenter ants. A number of times I was woken up by something crawling on me. I went into the next room to be greeted by atleast 15 to 20 of the ants crawling on the walls and floor. I understand the cabin is located in the woods but to. Have that time of infestation is bad. $188 down the drain. My girlfriend and I kept the place clean and didn't leave food out so we know it was a previous problem before we arrived

My wife and I are new to camping and have recently purchased a camping trailer.

We found this campground through the Good Sam website when we needed to come to Plymouth in July.

We found it to be quite well-maintained and our site had a great location overlooking the lake. The bathrooms were serviceable and clean, but they do charge a quarter for a shower. There is also sporadic small plane noise and periodic gunfire from a nearby sportsman's club.

We liked the place so much that we decided to return for our summer vacation which is concluding tomorrow. We had a very relaxing time and the location and proximity to Plymouth Center makes it a great location.

Today we visited two other campgrounds closeby and they were absolutely horrible. One popular place looked like a run down trailer park with throngs of people piled onto each other.

I highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a relaxing experience with their children or significant other. If you're looking for a drunken party in a run-down trailer park then you should try the other campgrounds in town.

We just spent a long weekend at Pinewood Lodge in Plymouth, MA. This is our second year staying there. Last year we rented a cabin for the weekend. This year we decided to rent a deluxe cabin instead. There was plenty of room for my family of four. There is a futon in the lving area with a small table and two chairs. There is cable tv in the living area along with a dvd player. The kitchen area which is part of the living area had a small fridge which didn't really keep things that cold. I would not suggest using the tiny freezer. My kids ended up with melting popsicles. The kitchen area has a sink, coffee maker, cook top (no oven) and microwave. The cottage had an ac which was great since it was really hot that weekend. There is one bedroom with a full or queen bed and a bunk bed. The bed was pretty comfortable. The bathroom was clean and fairly new. There is also a loft upstairs which could sleep a kid or two. My oldest loved it up there by my youngest was afraid to climb up the ladder. It was steep. I would definitely recommend getting the deluxe. It is a step above the cabins. My kids loved eating outside and making smores by the fire. The mosquitos were pretty bad when we were there. We also enjoyed the lake and the playground. My girls loved Christmas in July. They got to make ornaments to decorate the tree in the lodge, sing Christmas carols, visit with Santa and have peppermint stick ice cream. Karoke on Saturday night was also fun. We did have lunch at the snack bar since it was pouring rain on Saturday. I really would not recommend eating there. The food was terrible. All in all it was a great weekend with many fond memories to last a lifetime.

Got a bunch of friends together and rented sites at the campground. They were very accommodating. We were able to rent canoes, kayaks, and even a row boat during our weekend stay. The bathrooms and showers were clean, staff was courteous and even went out of their way to make us feel at home.

We were surprised at how many children were at the campground and yet we weren't bothered or overwhelmed by them. Like they weren't even there. We will definitely be going back next year!
