Me and my sister stayed at the Thornton Adams Bed and Breakfast over the fourth of July week. Not only did the owner Sandy provide excellent service, she was a terrific person as well! The rooms were clean and neat and the bed was sooooo comfortable. You almost didn't want to get out of bed except you knew there was a scrumptious breakfast waiting on you. My sister is a vegetarian and Sandy made sure she had something different and delicious to eat every morning. Even though Plymouth may be a small town, it's central location is fantastic. The beach is less than a mile away, downtown which included Plymouth Rock is a short drive. Also, Boston is a train ride away and Cape Cod is reasonably close. This is a amazing place to stay and I would highly recommend it! With the food, location and wonderful host this bed and breakfast stands above the rest!

This was our first B&B and it has been an absolute delight! We had never been to Plymouth before. Sandy our hostess welcomed us as family. Her hospitality is as large as her gracious home without being ostentatious. All her recommedations were accurate as we explored the town and sites for two days. Her suggestions of visting the the Miller at the Jenny Grist Mill was the cherry on the sundae of learning more real history than expected and thoroughly enjoying the people we met. As we walked all over town we were very thankful that we chose not to stay in the noisy tourist area. Her breakfasts were simple yet amazing! (Thank you for the instructions for Custard Cornbread!) We feel we have met kindred spirits and expect to retain contact. We will absolutely recommend this 'home away from home' to all our friends and family.

Our oldest son got married in Plymouth, Ma and we were given the Thornton Adams as a good place to stay. Sandy and Ron, the owners, were simply super. The rooms and property were in great shape. All of the rooms were great. The food and additional needs that we had were all taken care with a warm smile. We will use the Thornton Adams again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to go to Plymouth or a neighboring town. Views of Plymouth Bay is across the street and Plymouth Harbor is less than two miles down the street. The weather was glorious, the weeding was beautiful and the stay at the B&B was all we could have asked for.

I have traveled throughout the U.S. and Europe and love staying at inns and frequently do. This one is in the top tier of inns in which I have stayed. Not only are the rooms and bathrooms beautifully appointed and really clean, but the warmth and accommodating innkeeper, Sandy, made our stay one of the most enjoyable and restful mini-vacations we have had in a very long time. The breakfasts were notable proof of her excellent culinary skills, and coffee and tea were available even before breakfast. Cute, helpful signage helped us help ourselves, but Sandy's presence was always there to get whatever we needed. She treated us like royalty. She was there with great suggestions for local activities, and guidance on how to best get around with all of the July 4th celebrations. I did not want to leave.

Thank you Sandy for all your information on Plymouth and the surrounding areas! This info makes our vacation even more memorable! Love the room and comfy bed. Your breakfasts were wonderful!
We stayed 3 nights and still could have spent more time in Plymouth!
