Coffee is fresh and has a nice, natural taste. Bread is baked in house and is always fresh, full of hearty, whole ingredients. The people who run the place are nice, but sorta brings me back to the 19th Century.

It's pricey, but the place is nice, especially if you can grab a seat. They have some interesting choices for a quick breakfast bite at the counter.

This bakery is a very special place. The baked goods are of impeccable quality, the breakfasts, sandwhitches and soups excellent and the coffee fresh and dark. Sit by a fireplace in the cool weather and bask on the porch in the milder weather. And when you finish take home a loaf of fresh bread to savor.

I live in Plymouth and would frequent Blue Blinds more often if it weren't for the lackadaisical [make that "spaced out"] service. One reviewer writes that the lines extended long past lunch time -- unfortunately, those people in line were probably still waiting for lunch. I'm sorry, but the slow, slow, oblivious approach to service here negates the homey food and atmosphere.
And it's the kind of place that seems to attract those extremely annoying people who, after 20 minutes in line, have not even thought about what they want to order. And then they start asking about the kind of butter used, do the oils have trans fats, what is this or that tea like, are there nuts in the nutbread, etc. To top it off, they lean over to some spoiled brat child and coo, "What would you like, Jared? Take your time, sweetie." Blue Blinds makes me see red.

Charming little bakery/coffee shop in a very old house. The baked goods are fabulous, and the atmosphere is great - you keep expecting to see someone in a powdered wig and waistcoat walk in!
