Owner description: Replica of the ship the Pilgrims sailed to the New World.

I had the feeling the characters on the boat deeply cared about the ship and the person they were portraying. There was this sense that they were excited to share their stories and the enthusiasm was contagious. I could have spent another couple of hours there.

It was amazing to be able to be on board of a ship that was like the one people endured on when traveling was much different. To see how they traveled and to hear the stories was very impressive. To think there were 100 people in that small area for several months and that there were two births on board.I loved it and took a lot of pictures. The people that work on the ship are in costume and character and only talk like they are really in that time period. We were there in September and it was not crowded. There are steps to go down to bottom living area.
The town of Plymonth is very quaint we enjoyed walking all around and exploring the area. Many places to see and things to do.

Damp chilly day in early December was the perfect way to get a sense of what it must have been like to spend 2 months on this ship and arrive in the New World. Our 6 year old really enjoyed seeing history come alive. Great time with no crowd

Amazing story it already was and then to see the actual ship and realize how these people must have been traveling... an eye-opener!

It seems in our world that everything just keeps getting bigger and bigger. It is evident this is true when one goes to Plymouth and sees the size of the ships the Pilgrims used in their journey to the new world. I'm confident some government agency would not allow a group to charter families to cross the ocean on such a vessel today.

It makes me even more impressed with their strong wills, determination and commitment. I wonder how many people today have enough faith and commitment to step into a boat like this one and venture off into the unknown.

Oh by the way, if you want to look it up make sure you spell Plymouth as Plimoth Plantation. Otherwise you'll look a long time for the Mayflower II.
