What a view, walk to the top of the hill and look out to the bay, its amazing! There are many many other sites to visit around the entrance too. Enter by the first church to avoid the steep hill!

Drove up to carpark just outside the cemetery. Interesting historical wander around the graves - nice and shady out of the sun.. There is a circular walk that goes through and out the other side of the cemetery - down the hill past the two churches (please check the opening hours) - through the park at the bottom of hill up to Jenny Grist Mill - back up through the cemetery and back to the car. Took us a leisurely couple of hours.

We spent some time reading the inscriptions to find the oldest grave. Also fascinating were the carvings of skulls on the tombstones.

You are 140 feet above the Cape Cod Bay harbour. In this cemetery are buried the former residence of Plymouth and a few sailors that need to be recognized. If you google The Ghosts of White Flat: Christmas 1778 you will get a history lesson they do not teach in school. Learn about the grim fate of the privateer boat " Generald Arnold" Captained by James Magee. Find the tree that was struck by lightening and the person who lived to tell about it.

If you are in to old cemeteries and who is buried here then bring a luch if passing through then 1 hour.
