Teos is one of those things you have to do when in Pittsfield. Folks come from far away to enjoy these little dogs. PS get the hot dogs with everything!!

“Best Hot Dogs East of the Mississippi”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

It fair to say that Teo's is definitely a local's eatery, and if your a typical "Oats and Granola" Berkshires Tanglewood Loving tourist, than Teo's is not for you. On the other-hand, if your an average American, eats what looks good, and enjoys a beer and family setting then this is your place!

Teo's is one of those places that if your within a 2 hour drive, you will make the trek, (and your Kids will definitely be willing to sit for the ride).

“Getting stale”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

I loved this place as a kid, and I still want to, but it's getting difficult. Inside, the place has barely changed, except for a sloppy coat of paint over some wood paneling. It's a bit dark, and seems to rarely get a good cleaning. Like another reviewer said, there always seems to be some kind of insects flying around. Old beer signs, a large juke box, and lottery machine seem to just clutter up the restaurant. At least why don't they move the lottery machine in the rarely used back room? If you're a regular here, you've probably learned to accept these things, but if you are going to be a first time visitor, now you know.
The more experienced waitresses are very good, but the younger ones have a long way to go. One of the young waitresses seems to be burdened by the customers and she rarely, if ever, smiles and engages customers. This restaurant is in dire need of a remodel, makeover, or something. I know some people you used to go there, but won't anymore because it just doesn't feel clean. I get it.
The food is pretty good, and the restaurant is a good value for the money. Also, there are signs posted that Teo's doesn't take credit cards. Yes, I'm serious. Very strange is today's world. That won't help business either. I want to see Teo's around for a long time, but I'm really just holding on to childhood memories while the reality of the present is getting too strong to ignore.

“Little dogs, little taste”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

We saw so many reviews of Teo and went to get a hot dog fix. The hot dogs are small, were under cooked and we had a communications problem with the waiter. Not a good experience...but the meat sauce was good!

“Was my favorite, but I'm re-thinking it...”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

When growing up in Pittsfield you were a Teo's person or a Springs Hot Dog Ranch person. Kinda like if you like Coke you're not a Dr. Pepper person. Now from the Boston area, and whenever I go home I stop by Teo's for the dogs and a frosty mug. Well the dogs are not as good as they were just a couple of years ago. Bread was a bit stale - hard to believe since they steam the rolls. And that Frosty Brew I crazed all during the drive was bitter and flat, like the lines were dirty or keg was old, maybe both. Service was never a strong point - so it is was it is. Order, eat, pay, leave. But the place was danker smelling than usually, the juke box was broken, the beer was pretty crappy and worst....the dogs were just Ok. I'm going to the Springs next time. It's down the street from the Lantern Restaurant on North Street. My sister says that's where all the old Teo's fans go. Additionally, they have more than 5 things to order from the menu!
