I work in Pittsfield. First visit to museum in 15 years! The innovation section was very informative, even for a local. Paper section was also interesting. Many exhibit labels were small to read and placed very low to the ground. Child friendly place. Some of the stuffed animals and birds were just ok.

What a brilliant museum. Really friendly staff with helpful tips on parking and restaurants in the town. Loads of hands on exhibits and great learning through play opportunities. Our 20 month old son had a brilliant time here, and so did we.

We went here with our son and his family...two boys ages 11 and 9. It is not a large museum but it is very kid-friendly...lots of interactive activities for the boys. There is even a tiny aquarium area which they also enjoyed. And it also has changing exhibits for the grown-ups. They was an excellent, wonderful Ansel Adams exhibit. We all enjoyed ourselves.

The museum offered a wonderful exhibit of artworks that were created from paper. It made you want to hurry home, gather old paper supplies and create your own masterpiece. The exhibit is definitely and eye-opener.
