My husband and I had a delicious meal at La Fogata - we started with empanadas which were outstanding, and then went with some favorites such as arroz con pollo, sweet plantains, and Peruvian strip steak and rice. Everything was prepared beautifully and served graciously; the portions are more than generous. The restaurant is not too large and very clean. We enjoyed chatting with the staff as well. We'll definitely be back: it's one of Pittsfield's real finds for us.

We have tried everything on the menu & all the dishes are amazing. Doesn't matter day of the week or how busy, the food is made with love to order. The family staff are enthusiastic & welcoming as though you are in their home. Make sure to try the house dressing for salads & sweet plantains for the side. The fresh juice drinks are also made in house, & the variety of import beer is also notable. We have visited on date night, with friends, & family...it's a great meal no matter the occasion.

La Fogata is a small limited seating restaurant that, if you arrive too late, you will not get in to. Food is typical Columbian homestyle cooking. Try his soups and definitely his homemade chorizo sausage. Portions are overly generous with lots of beans and rice (a staple) and extremely filling. Good food takes time - and his food is no exception. While you are there the owner, Manuel, will probably come out and talk with you to find out how you like the food. Definitely a place to visit and re-visit.

Always good. Get the "typical platter" for a great sampling of flavors. You can also talk world cup soccer with the owner!

We have been to La Fogata numerous times and we love it every time we go there. It is a family-run Columbian Restaurant in PIttsfield. We have brought several family members there including those who have been to Columbia. The bistec encebollada and the arroz con mariscos are terrific. The portions are huge! The fruit drinks are delicious. We'll keep going back!
