this play was a wonderful depiction of two colourful authors F.SCOTT FITZGERALD AND ERNEST HEMINGWAY easily two of america's best writers........the audience is warned about pretty foul language from 80 years ago, but by today's standards its pretty ho-hum. The acting was excellent and the play very well written. A good theatre experience!!!

Thank arnaldo

We were so impressed with the performance of Lil Mermaid put on by the youth group for Barrington Stage. We saw an afternoon performance at the Berkshire Museum in downtown Pittsfield and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staging, the acting, the singing... all great!

I highly recommend any performance they do!

Barrington Stage puts on great plays and this time we saw one play there and another evening a musical show at their offshoot, Finn's Cabaret. What a blast! We vacation in the Berkshires once a year every summer and Barrington Stage is a must at least one night of the week!

My wife and I just saw Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing." We are knocked over by the hilarity of the performance. The actors were perfect, the costumes and sets were beautiful, and the directing was expert.

This is a "must see" performance!

No regrets ... only laughs and genuine emotions.

The new production of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing is set in 1930s Messina, Italy where women are subject to men's whims as they were four centuries before. Shakespeare has fun with lampooning officials and throwing barbs at illegitimate men who are truly bastards. The plot is a melding of many familiar Shakespearean themes: betrayal, slander, love all mixed into a convoluted plot to keep the audience engaged. Julianne Boyd, the director, has added many sight gags as well that kept viewer amused. It's a very good, if overlong performance, and the leads are well cast.
